Układ (100) do oddzielania dwutlenku węgla oraz gazu kwaśnego od gazu syntezowego, zawiera obwód oczyszczania gazu syntezowego (102) zawierający co najmniej jedną kolumnę absorpcyjną (108), połączoną połączeniem przepływowym z zasilaniem rozpuszczalnika ubogiego i zawiera obwód usuwania dwutlenku węgla (104), podłączony za obwodem oczyszczania gazu syntezowego (102). Obwód usuwania dwutlenku węgla (104) zawiera co najmniej jeden element składowy, który ułatwia usuwanie dwutlenku węgla z rozpuszczalnika po przejściu przez rozpuszczalnik przez obwód oczyszczania gazu syntezowego. Obwód usuwania dwutlenku węgla (104) zawiera również co najmniej jedną sprężarkę (138, 140, 142), która pracuje przy zasadniczo podobnym ciśnieniu, jak co najmniej jeden element składowy.
