Dodatek stanowi fluidalny popiół lotny ze spalania węgla kamiennego lub brunatnego w kotłach cyrkulacyjnych z równoczesnym odsiarczaniem i zawierający wagowo 8-25% CaO, 30-45% SiO2, 15-25% Al2O3, 5-10% tlenków żelaza, poniżej 60% sumy składników SiO2+Al2O3+FeO3, 3-9% SO3, 0-4% nie spalonego węgla, przy czym wprowadzany jest do betonu lub kompozytu wysokowytrzymałościowego w ilości do 25% masy cementu lub sumy mas składników wchodzących w skład spoiwa.
