Przedmiotem wynalazku jest analog geranyloacetonu, który stanowi 7,11-dimetylododeka-5,10-dien-2-on o wzorze 1. Nowy zwiazek charakteryzuje sie przyjemnym zapachem o nucie kwiatowo-zielonej, który mozna opisac jako zblizony do zapachu geranyloacetonu oraz lotnoscia nizsza od lotnosci geranyloacetonu. Znajduje zastosowanie jako skladnik kompozycji zapachowych oraz aromatów spozywczych, skutecznie zastepujac geranyloaceton.The subject of the invention is a geranylacetone analogue which is 7,11-dimethyldodeka-5,10-dien-2-one of formula 1. The new compound is characterized by a pleasant floral-green note, which can be described as similar to the smell of geranylacetone and lower from the airport geranyloacetone. It is used as an ingredient in aroma compositions and food aromas, effectively replacing geranylacetone.
