Sposób ekstrakcji węglowodorów zawartych w piaskach roponośnych i łupkach roponośnych, obejmuje wprowadzanie piasków roponośnych lub łupków roponośnych do odpowiedniego aparatu, w których są one ogrzewane, bezpośrednio i/lub za pośrednictwem odpowiedniego płynu przenoszącego, z wykorzystaniem energii słonecznej zbieranej za pomocą optycznych układów skupiających.
