Dwufunkcyjny wymiennik ciepla posiada obieg cieczy centralnego ogrzewania i obieg cieplej wody uzytkowej. Wymiennik zawiera znany, opalany lub ogrzewany przeplywowo woda lub para wodna, glówny wymiennik ciepla oraz wezownice (2) otoczona plaszczem zewnetrznym (3) zaopatrzonym w króciec wejsciowy cieczy ogrzewajacej wode uzytkowa w wezownicy (2) oraz króciec wejsciowy i wyjsciowy (5) wody uzytkowej, przy czym komora przeplywu cieczy ogrzewajacej wode uzytkowa w wezownicy (2) polaczona jest z komora (8) przeplywu ogrzewanej cieczy w wymienniku glównym. Korzystnie wezownica (2) nawinieta jest na plaszczu (1) glównego wymiennika ciepla a komora przeplywu cieczy ogrzewajacej wode uzytkowa w wezownicy (2) polaczona jest poprzez co najmniej jeden otwór przelewowy (7) z komora (8) przeplywu ogrzewanej cieczy w wymienniku glównym.
