Abstract
Sposób wytwarzania poli(estro-węglanów) polega na tym, że kwas dikarboksylowy lub ester dimetylowy lub dietylowy kwasu dikarboksylowego, alifatycznego lub aromatycznego lub ich mieszaniny poddaje się reakcji z α,ω-diolem lub mieszaniną dioli w stosunku molowym w granicach od 1:2,6 do 1:21,5 w obecności katalizatora transestryfikacji, w temperaturze 160-200°C, w przepływie gazu obojętnego, odbierając wodę lub metanol lub etanol jako produkt uboczny, otrzymując w jej wyniku bis(hydroksyalkilowy) ester kwasu dikarboksylowego i nieprzereagowany diol. Następnie dodaje się węglan propylenu lub węglan etylenu w stosunku molowym do estru bis(hydroksyalkilowego) kwasu dikarboksylowego jak 1:19 do 19:1 i rozpuszczalnik azeotropujący, w takiej ilości aby utrzymywać temperaturę wrzenia mieszaniny reakcyjnej w granicach 155-180°C i prowadzi reakcję odbierając azeotropowo glikol 1,2-propylenowy lub glikol etylenowy, po czym oddestylowuje się rozpuszczalnik azeotropujący, najpierw pod normalnym ciśnieniem, a następnie stopniowo obniżając ciśnienie, w czasie od 0,5 do 5 godzin, do zakresu od 0,1 do 1 mbara i podnosząc stopniowo temperaturę, w czasie od 1 do 5 godzin, do zakresu od 200 do 220°C.A method for producing poly(ester-carbonates) comprises reacting a dicarboxylic acid or a dimethyl or diethyl ester of a dicarboxylic, aliphatic or aromatic acid or a mixture thereof with an α,ω-diol or a mixture of diols in a molar ratio ranging from 1:2.6 to 1:21.5 in the presence of a transesterification catalyst, at a temperature of 160-200°C, in a flow of an inert gas, removing water or methanol or ethanol as a by-product, thereby obtaining a bis(hydroxyalkyl) ester of a dicarboxylic acid and unreacted diol. Then, propylene carbonate or ethylene carbonate are added in a molar ratio to the bis(hydroxyalkyl) ester of the dicarboxylic acid of 1:19 to 19:1 and an azeotroping solvent in such an amount as to maintain the boiling point of the reaction mixture in the range of 155-180°C and the reaction is carried out by azeotropically removing 1,2-propylene glycol or ethylene glycol, after which the azeotroping solvent is distilled off, first under normal pressure and then gradually reducing the pressure to the range of 0.1 to 1 mbar over a period of 0.5 to 5 hours and gradually increasing the temperature to the range of 200 to 220°C over a period of 1 to 5 hours.
