Description

Sklad szpachlówki emulsyjnej ilustruje nastepu¬ jacy przyklad:P r z y k a d. The invention relates to a method for obtaining emulsion putty from natural or artificial resins plasticized with vegetable or animal oil, suitable for leveling wooden surfaces and plasters. Patent No. 38961 describes a method for obtaining rosin putty, consisting in emulsifying melted rosin with water and kneading the obtained emulsion with chalk with the addition of a solvent. Further research has shown that emulsion putty can be produced not only from rosin but also from other natural and artificial resins if the method given below, which is the essence of the invention, is followed. According to the invention, the emulsion putty is produced by adding a plasticizer in the form of vegetable or animal oil in an amount of 5-10% to a natural or artificial resin, melting them together, and then, after raising the temperature of the mass to 110-120°C, adding a solvent in an amount of 40-60% in relation to the resin. To the resin thus prepared, water at a temperature of approximately 80°C is added, with vigorous stirring, with ammonia, sodium hydroxide, or potassium hydroxide in an amount of 2-4% relative to the resin, and casein dissolved in ammonia in an amount of 6-12% relative to water. A fungicide, e.g., phenol sulfochloronaphthalene or pentachlorophenolate, is also added in an amount of 1-2% relative to water. After cooling, the obtained emulsion is kneaded with chalk, and during this process, lacquer solvent is added in the amount of 20-30% of the resin used. The putty obtained in the above method is very plastic and can be stored for many months without any changes. Compared to the varnish putty, it is characterized by better adhesion, especially to plasters, faster drying time, and can be used on surfaces with a higher degree of humidity without losing any of its properties. The composition of the emulsion putty is illustrated by the following example: Example: Baltol 15 parts by weight Linseed oil ^T.5 White spirit 8 Turpentine Casein Water Chalk Ammonia Phenol 2 3 30 40 0.3 0.2 PL PL
