Abstract

The method of preventing radiation degradation of poly (lactic acid) (PLA) during irradiation with accelerated electrons in a dose of up to 400 kGy is that poly (lactic acid is used in the form of a copolymer with poly (trimethylene carbonate), obtained as a result of the addition, at the polymerization stage lactic acid (LA) to poly (lactic acid), trimethylene carbonate (TMC) The method allows the use of ionizing radiation to sterilize poly (lactic acid), which will facilitate the practical application of this biomaterial in medicine.
