Abstract
Zbrylająca się ściółka dla zwierząt zawiera rozdrobnione łuski z ziarna kukurydzy w ilości 80-99% wagowych, dodatek mineralny, korzystnie bentonit w ilości 1-20% wagowych oraz ewentualnie dodatek zapachowy, korzystnie olejki eteryczne w ilości 0- 0,2% wagowych. Sposób wytwarzania zbrylającej się ściółki dla zwierząt polega na tym, że rozdrobnione do frakcji poniżej 5 mm łuski z ziarna kukurydzy w ilości 80-99% wagowych miesza się z dodatkiem mineralnym, korzystnie bentonitem w ilości 1-20% wagowych oraz ewentualnie dodatkiem zapachowym w ilości do 0,2% wagowych, a uzyskaną masę o wilgotności 5-20% poddaje się wyciskaniu pod ciśnieniem 20-50 MPa, uzyskując półprodukt w kształcie walca o średnicy 5-7 mm, długości 5-20 mm, gęstości właściwej 1,0 -1,5 g/cm2 i ciężarze nasypowym 500-900 kg/m3. Półprodukt poddaje się kruszeniu, a następnie przesiewaniu, otrzymując ściółkę w postaci granulatu o uziarnieniu 0,2-5,0 mm, ciężarze nasypowym 500-750 kg/m3 i wilgotności poniżej 15%, przy czym odsiane cząstki o innym uziarnieniu zawraca się do procesu.Clumping animal litter contains crushed corn husks in an amount of 80-99% by weight, a mineral additive, preferably bentonite in an amount of 1-20% by weight and optionally a fragrance additive, preferably essential oils in an amount of 0-0.2% by weight. A method for producing clumping animal litter consists in mixing corn husks crushed to a fraction below 5 mm in an amount of 80-99% by weight with a mineral additive, preferably bentonite in an amount of 1-20% by weight and optionally a fragrance additive in an amount of up to 0.2% by weight, and the obtained mass with a moisture content of 5-20% is subjected to extrusion under a pressure of 20-50 MPa, obtaining a semi-finished product in the shape of a cylinder with a diameter of 5-7 mm, length of 5-20 mm, specific density of 1.0-1.5 g/cm2 and bulk density of 500-900 kg/m3. The semi-finished product is crushed and then sieved to obtain granulate litter with a grain size of 0.2-5.0 mm, bulk density of 500-750 kg/m3 and moisture content below 15%, while the sieved particles with other grain sizes are returned to the process.
