Abstract

The subject of the invention is a dilatant ceramic suspension in which silica is dispersed in a liquid organic compound and its use. The ceramic suspension contains a mixture of nanosilica and flexible, dry expanded polymer microspheres filled with gas, with an average particle size of 15 to 85 µm, and a density of 25 to 70 kg/m3, wherein the silica share is from 7 to 40% by volume in relation to the volume of the entire ceramic suspension, and the total concentration of the solid phase in the suspension is from 15 to 70% by volume. The dilatant ceramic suspension is used for energy absorption in high-strength fabrics.
