Zastawka serca trójpłatkowa mechaniczna, zbudowana z pierścienia oraz profilowanych płatków składa się z obudowy (1) w kształcie pierścienia, wewnątrz którego znajdują się trzy wypusty (2) wyprofilowane rozmieszczone symetrycznie. Wypusty (2) wyprofilowane mają wewnątrz, po obu bokach, gniazda (3a i 3b), w których umieszczone są luźno wypusty (4) płatków (5) profilowanych. Kształt wypustów (4) odpowiada kształtem gniazdom (3a i 3b), przy czym wokół obudowy (1) znajduje się obręcz (8) przeznaczona do obszycia tkaniną do mocowania szwów.
