Abstract

Przedmiotem wynalazku jest sposób otrzymywania porowatych, monodyspersyjnych mikrosfer kopolimerowych, syntezowanych w szczególnych warunkach z 4-winylopirydyny i komonomerów metakrylowych na bazie ziarna polimeru liniowego - polistyrenu, mających zastosowanie zwłaszcza jako wypełnienia chromatograficzne. Sposób charakteryzuje się tym, że w początkowej fazie do wodnego roztworu znanego surfaktanta, wprowadza się w określonych ilościach mieszaninę składającą się z monomeru funkcyjnego 4-winylopirydyny oraz jednego z monomerów sieciujących - dimetakrylanu glikolu etylenowego lub trimetakrylanu trimetylolopropanu, lub 1,4-dimetakryloiloksybenzenu, lub 1,3,5-trimetakryloiloksybenzenu, rozpuszczonych w rozpuszczalniku organicznym, w ściśle określonej ilości rozpuszczalnika na 1 g mieszaniny monomerów i z dodatkiem inicjatora polimeryzacji rodnikowej, w określonej ilości w stosunku do ilości mieszaniny monomerów. W drugim etapie, mieszaninę poddaje się homogenizacji, wprowadza ziarno prekursora o określonej średnicy i średnim ciężarze cząsteczkowym Mw, w ściśle określonej ilości na 1 g mieszaniny monomerów. Proces absorpcji monomerów na ziarnie prekursora i dalej polimeryzację rodnikową prowadzi się w określonej temperaturze i czasie, ciągle mieszając. Uzyskany produkt, znanymi sposobami, odsącza się, oczyszcza i przeprowadza ekstrakcję polistyrenu.The subject of the invention is a method for obtaining porous, monodisperse copolymer microspheres, synthesized under special conditions from 4-vinylpyridine and methacrylic comonomers based on linear polymer grains - polystyrene, used especially as chromatographic fillings. The method is characterized by the fact that in the initial phase, a mixture consisting of the functional monomer 4-vinylpyridine and one of the cross-linking monomers - ethylene glycol dimethacrylate or trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate, or 1,4-dimethacryloyloxybenzene, or 1,3,5-trimethacryloyloxybenzene, dissolved in an organic solvent, in a precisely defined amount of solvent per 1 g of the monomer mixture and with the addition of a radical polymerization initiator, in a specific amount in relation to the amount of the monomer mixture. In the second stage, the mixture is homogenized and a precursor grain with a specific diameter and average molecular weight Mw is introduced, in a precisely defined amount per 1 g of the monomer mixture. The process of absorption of monomers on the precursor grain and subsequent radical polymerization is carried out at a specific temperature and time, with constant stirring. The obtained product is filtered, purified and polystyrene extracted using known methods.
