Metodyka usprawnia próbkowanie i charakteryzację heterogennych niekonwencjonalnych obszarów węglowodorowych. Metodyka jest zaprojektowana do zgodnego integrowania pomiarów i skał. Ponadto, metodyka obejmuje charakteryzowanie rozmaitych skał, w tym heterogeniczność skał lokalnych, heterogeniczność skał odwiertu, heterogeniczność skał rdzeniowych, skał próbki, oraz heterogeniczność skał porowatych. Wyniki są integrowane dla wielu skał w oparciu o wyniki uzyskane z charakteryzacji skał. Metodyka obejmuje nadto wyznaczanie danych propagacji w wielu skałach w obszarze węglowodoronośnym.
