W skład rozrządu wchodzi pierścień (2) z ramionami połączonymi z pierścieniem spoczynkowo ułożyskowany w korpusie (K) oraz wał z ramionami połączonymi z wałem spoczynkowo, ułożyskowany w otworach korpusu wewnątrz pierścienia. Osie obrotu pierścienia i wału muszą być równoległe i oddalone od siebie o dowolną odległość. W skład rozrządu wchodzi też przekładnia zębata (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5) wiążąca obroty pierścienia i wału w stosunku 1:1 (jeden obrót pierścienia na jeden obrót wału).
