Materiał aktywny stanowi elastomer magnetoreologiczny, a powłoka (2) jest napięta wzdłuż wnęki uformowanej pomiędzy użebrowaniem elementu płatowego (3). Jeden koniec powłoki (2) jest zamocowany do obrotowego członu (4) urządzenia napinającego połączonego z napędem, który to człon jest zamocowany w przedniej części wnęki pomiędzy żebrami, a drugi koniec powłoki (2) jest zamocowany do sztywnej części struktury profilu na końcu wnęki.
