Sposób wytwarzania mezoporowatego TiO2 o strukturze anatazu, charakteryzuje się tym, że wysuszony ditlenek tytanu, który stanowi półprodukt do produkcji TiO2 metodą siarczanową, przemywa się wodą amoniakalną do uzyskania wartości pH w zakresie 6 - 7, następnie miesza się z 10 M roztworem KOH w stosunku wagowym 1:20, aż do czasu otrzymania jednolitej zawiesiny. Następnie tak otrzymany materiał podgrzewa się do temperatury 140°C przez 12, 24 lub 48 godzin, po czym po samoistnym ochłodzeniu do temperatury pokojowej zawiesinę kilkakrotnie przemywa się 0,1 M roztworem HCl nieustannie mieszając do uzyskania pH silnie kwaśnego, a następnie materiał przemywa się wodą destylowaną do uzyskania pH obojętnego. The nanomaterial thus obtained is dried in an oven in an air atmosphere for 2 hours at 350 ° C. and then ground.
