Przedmiotem wynalazku jest kondensator elektrochemiczny składający się z elektrody dodatniej i ujemnej wykonanych z materiału węglowego o rozwiniętej powierzchni właściwej co najmniej 200 m2g-1 oddzielonych od siebie separatorem, usytuowanych w elektrolicie, którym jest roztwór wodny siarczku metalu alkalicznego o stężeniu 0.001 mol L-1 - 3 mol L-1, korzystnie 1 mol L-1.
