Abstract

Do czyszczenia zębów wykorzystane są wałki z osadzonymi na obwodzie włóknami. Przedstawione na rysunku wałki czyszczące wykonują ruch obrotowy albo drgający i osłonięte są tak aby miały kontakt tylko z zębami. Usztywnienie włókien przez siłę odśrodkową i kierunek ruchu, zapewni dobre wnikanie włókien w szczeliny międzyzębne i ich skuteczne oczyszczanie. Szczoteczka w równej mierze będzie czyściła frontowe i tylne powierzchnie zębów, zapobiegając tym osadzaniu się kamienia nazębnego. Proces czyszczenia zasadniczo nie wymaga użycia dłoni, gdyż szczoteczka jest trzymana zębami, a zaciśnięte wargi uszczelniają usta.
