Za odkształcanie płytki odpowiadają obustronnie naklejone warstwy piezoelektryczne (6 i 7), przez co znacząco skraca się czas reakcji na podany impuls zasilania. Regulacja wydatku wtryskiwacza możliwa jest do zrealizowania poprzez ograniczenie odkształcenia płytki, lub z wykorzystaniem dyszy kalibracyjnej.
