Abstract

A method of conducting the electrodialysis process, reverse electrodialysis or reverse electrodialysis or its other variants in a countercurrent electrodialyzer with the use of spacers in diluate and concentrate chambers with a thickness in the range of 0.15 - 1.2 mm, operating at different flow rates of diluate and concentrate, and thus, for different values of the linear flow velocity in the diluate chambers (4) it is from 0.2 to 8.0 cm / s, and in the concentrate chambers (5) it is from 0.60 to 15.0 cm / s, throttling the diluate outlet with a valve (14), keeping the pressure at the diluate outlet in the range 5 - 40 kPa, and the pressure values at the inlet to the concentrate chambers (8) in the range 10 - 150 kPa. The method of conducting the electrodialysis process, reverse electrodialysis or reverse electrodialysis or its other variants in an electrodializer with the use of spacers in diluate and concentrate chambers with a thickness of 0.15 - 1.2 mm, working at different flow rates of diluate and concentrate, and thus at different values of the linear flow velocity in the diluate chambers (4) is from 0.2 to 8.0 cm / s, and in the concentrate chambers (5) it is from 0.60 to 15.0 cm / s, throttling the diluate outlet with a valve (14), keeping the pressure at the outlet of diluate (7) in the range 5 - 40 kPa, and the inlet pressure values of the concentrate chambers in the range 10 - 150 kPa.
