Abstract

The subject of the application is a method and system for controlling the patient's inspiratory gas mixture volume delivered by dividing the inspiratory gas mixture of a ventilator into at least one of two respiratory paths from a single ventilator, comprising distributing the patient inspiratory gas mixture by pneumatic means and electronically adjusting the patient's inspiratory gas mixture inspiratory volume. The method is characterized in that the adjustment of the inspiratory gas volume of the patient is performed automatically and by an electronic system comprising a control circuit (21) containing only analog elements, and that the adjustment of the inspiratory gas mixture volume of the patient is adjusted downstream of the pneumatic inspiratory gas divider of the ventilator in single inspiratory path and in that the adjustment of the inspiratory volume of the patient's gaseous mixture is performed based on only one variable set point.
