Układ napędowy młyna kulowego (3) składa się z silnika elektrycznego (1) i przekładni mechanicznej (2). Wałek napędowy młyna kulowego (3) jest połączony, poprzez sprzęgło (4) młyna, z wałkiem niskoobrotowym przekładni mechanicznej (2). Przekładnia mechaniczna (2) jest przekładnią zębatą walcową bądź planetarną. Walek wysokoobrotowy przekładni walcowej (2) jest połączony poprzez sprzęgło (5) silnika z wałkiem silnika elektrycznego (1). Przekładnia planetarna jest zabudowana w silniku elektrycznym (1), przy czym koło słoneczne jest umieszczone na wałku silnika (1), koło pierścieniowe jest osadzone w kadłubie silnika (1), a koła planetarne są połączone z wałkiem niskoobrotowym przekładni.
