Mechanizm składający elastyczną osłonę ochronną maszyny rolniczej w szczególności w kosiarkach, zbudowany jest z dwóch zasadniczych elementów: części głównej (1) i występu przedniego (2). Część główna (1) połączona jest zarówno z boczną osłoną maszyny zawierającej element sztywny (4) oraz elastyczną osłonę ochronną (7), jak i występem przednim (2) wyposażonym w krzywkę (3). Ponadto część główna połączona jest z cięgnem (5), przymocowanym na stałe do nieruchomego elementu maszyny (6) oraz występ przedni (2) i część główna (1) połączone są ze sobą sprężyną (8).
