Ślizg boczny zawiera korpus (1) z umieszczoną w nim sprężyną (2). Nad sprężyną (2), częściowo w korpusie (1), umieszczona jest podstawa (3), która jest U-kształtna w przekroju poprzecznym i która zamocowana jest do sprężyny (2). Pomiędzy powierzchnią zewnętrzną ściany bocznej podstawy (3) a powierzchnią wewnętrzną ściany bocznej korpusu (1) jest szczelina (4). W tej podstawie (3) zawieszona jest rolka (6), której średnica (d) jest większa niż wysokość (h) przestrzeni wewnętrznej podstawy (3). W górnej części podstawy (3) jest płyta (7), która zamyka otwór podstawy (3) i w której jest otwór przelotowy na część rolki (6), która wyprowadzona jest poza przestrzeń wewnętrzną podstawy (3).
