Abstract

A method for determining the maximum horizontal radial velocity of ground vibrations during rock mining by firing explosive charges placed in blast holes arranged in a line and fired successively with a millisecond delay in relation to the previous charge, for any directional angle α of the circular vibration velocity distribution, characterized in that the horizontal radial velocity of ground vibrations is measured using vibration velocity sensors at one assumed directional angle α, where the directional angle α is the angle between the line of blast holes and the line connecting the measuring point with the source of vibrations, which is the central blast hole or the center of the line of blast holes, wherein the directional angle α is determined at half the circumference of the circle, in front of the face of the rock block being mined, at a constant distance equal to the distance of the protected object from the source of vibrations; then, having read the measurement results of the horizontal radial velocity of ground vibrations Vxa for the assumed directional angle α, the value of the maximum horizontal radial velocity of ground vibrations Vx max is determined from the relationship which is the ratio of the product of the value of the horizontal radial velocity of ground vibrations Vxa and the sine of the angle 90° to the sine of the measuring angle α (Vx max=VXα sin 90°/sin α).
