Abstract

W celu wyznaczenia przestrzennego położenia rysika (1) mierzy się na bieżąco, za pomocą wspomnianych czujników pola magnetycznego, natężenie pola magnetycznego pochodzące od źródła wektorowego pola magnetycznego (2) rysika (1) i wyznacza się położenie rysika (1) we wspomnianym prostokątnym układzie współrzędnych (X, Y, Z) oraz położenie kątowe osi (4) źródła wektorowego pola magnetycznego (2) w tym samym układzie współrzędnych (X, Y, Z).The device comprises a stylus (1) and a tracking unit (3). The stylus (1) comprises a vector magnetic field source (2) with a magnetic moment value of not less than 0.1 Am2, wireless communication means and means for detecting when the stylus (1) touches the surface of a material object. The tracking unit (3) comprises at least five vector magnetic field sensors with a measurement uncertainty of not more than 0.4 microtesla, arranged in a spatial rectangular coordinate system (X, Y, Z). The measurement axis of each of the magnetic field sensors is oriented in a direction different from the direction of the measurement axis of at least two other magnetic field sensors, wherein for each axis (X, Y, Z) of said rectangular coordinate system, the measurement axis of at least one magnetic field sensor forms an angle other than a right angle with said coordinate axis (X, Y, Z). In order to determine the spatial position of the stylus (1), the magnetic field intensity from the vector magnetic field source (2) of the stylus (1) is measured continuously using the aforementioned magnetic field sensors and the position of the stylus (1) in the aforementioned rectangular coordinate system (X, Y, Z) and the angular position of the axis (4) of the vector magnetic field source (2) in the same coordinate system (X, Y, Z) are determined.
