Bezposrednio przed nalozeniem opatrunku bandaz unieruchamiaja¬ cy zwilza sie lotnym rozpuszczalnikiem, np. acetonem. Emulsja ta nasyca sie czysta tkanine zwyklego bandaza ! suszy w powietrzu o temperaturze do 50° C.Dla sporzadzenia opatrunku, odpowiedni od¬ cinek bandaza unieruchamiajacego zwilza sie acetonem i natychmiast naklada opatrunek. Otrzymana emulsja nasyca sie czysta tkanine i suszy w powietrzu o temperaturze ponizej 50° C. Przed nalozeniem opatrunku bandaz unieruchamiajacy zwilza sie acetonem. Medical immobilizing bands made of a plaster-impregnated bandage can be replaced by bandages impregnated with plastics. The advantage of such bandages is greater mechanical strength, which allows to reduce the thickness of the dressing layer, and thus significantly reduce the weight of the dressing. ¬ movable plastic consists in the production of fibers from plastics- *) The owner of the patent stated that the authors of the invention are Marek Wajnryb, Feicja Majewska and Telesfor Wiechec. This method requires a number of complicated technological activities related to the production of fibers and fabrics and appropriate equipment. The method according to the invention avoids these difficulties. and makes it possible to obtain plastic immobilizing bandages in a simple and cheap way. An additional advantage of the immobilizing bandages manufactured according to the invention is the elasticity of the dressing, thanks to which a rigid dressing, after being cut lengthwise, can be removed and applied with back by flexibly opening it along the slit without damaging the dressing. It has been found that in order to produce the immobilization bandage according to the invention, the plastic must be applied to the fabric fibers in the form of a powder. Immediately before applying the dressing, the fixation bandage is wetted with a volatile solvent such as acetone. Due to swelling in the solvent, the grains of the plastic stick together to form a uniform mass which, when dry, forms a rigid fixation dressing with the fabric. Obviously, the plastic and the solvent must not have a detrimental effect on the body's tissues. Obtaining sufficiently small polymer grains to ensure that they quickly coalesce in the solvent and form a permanent bond between the powder and the bandase fabric, is achieved according to the invention by applying the plastic in the form of The preparation of the immobilizing bandase according to the invention is based on saturation, any method, a fabric water emulsion of polymethyl methacrylate or polystyrene, or a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate. After saturation, the fabric is dried at a temperature lower than the softening temperature of the plastic used to avoid grain sticking, which could cause the stiffening of the saturated fabric. One of the methods of producing the bandage according to the invention is the emulsion polymerization method, consisting in the preparation of an aqueous emulsion of methyl methacrylate. with a dry substance content of 25-35%. This emulsion saturates the clean cloth of an ordinary bandage! dries in air at a temperature of 50 ° C. For the preparation of a dressing, a suitable section of the immobilizing bandage is moistened with acetone and the dressing is applied immediately. After several minutes, depending on the thickness of the layer, the dressing is stiff. The torn dressing can be flexibly spread even after it is completely dry. The second method consists in the preparation of a mixture of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate, containing up to 20% of vinyl acetate, which is polymerized in a water emulsion with a content of 30-50% of organic components. The resulting emulsion is saturated with a clean fabric and dried in air at a temperature below 50%. ° C. Moisten the fixation bandage with acetone before applying the dressing. PL
