PL PLPublished: June 10, 1966 KI. 51186 UKD -5*7-l- MKP E 21 fo Co-authors of the invention: Gerard Koloch, M.Sc. Eng. Wiesław Galocz, M.Sc. Eng. Patent owner: Kopalnia Wegielnego "Jankowice" Przedsiębiorstwo Państwowe, Boguszowice (Poland) Method of chamber reconstruction with partial support in seams with a high inclination The subject of the invention is a method of chamber reconstruction of seams with a high inclination using liquid backfill to fill the mined voids, allowing the reconstruction of seams with a thickness of 1.5 meters to 3.5 meters and an inclination from 35° to 60° with the use of partial support. There are, however, numerous methods of chamber and pillar-and-stack reconstruction used in the extraction of seams with similar All these methods differ in the method of cutting the deposit, the method of mining, and the support. Room-based and room-and-pillar reconstruction methods used in the mining of very thick seams (7-8 m) differ both in the method of preparing the deposit for mining and in the overall processes related to mining and support. Furthermore, these methods have been completely abandoned due to the significant losses of the mineral substance and the occupational hazards of the employed miners. As for the pillar-and-shoulder methods, which require full face support, and long-shoulder systems, they differ from the subject of the invention in the method of cutting the deposit and the method of mining. The same applies to the method called reverse extraction of pillars from preparatory workings. This method is characterized by the fact that the deposit is mined from behind 25 30 after previously cutting the deposit with galleries and chamber tops. The mining takes place in the direction from top to bottom, which results in; significant risk to the miners' work and the need to perform additional closures each time before starting blasting. Furthermore, this method is characterized by a significant amount of preparatory work, because in addition to drilling the tops connecting the level drifts, there is also a need for drifts connecting the individual chambers (top drifts) serving both for ventilation and to facilitate access to the individual faces. Currently, the reconstruction of seams with a large inclination is carried out mainly using a method that requires full support of the workings, partial loading of the mined material, and repositioning of the conveyor carried out in parallel with the progress of the exploitation works. The disadvantages of the methods used for rebuilding coal seams with a high inclination are eliminated by the chamber reconstruction system with a partial support according to the invention. The subject of the invention is shown in an example embodiment in the drawings, where Fig. 1 shows the cutting of the seam for exploitation, Fig. 2 — horizontal section of the chamber during exploitation, Fig. 3 — cross-section of the chamber and the chamber outlet to the parallel roadway, Fig. 4 — projection of a section of the chamber with a detail of the wooden support 511863 51186 4 of the chamber cut, Fig. 5 — vertical section along the chamber cut. The reconstruction of a coal seam with a high inclination using the chamber method according to the invention is preceded by cutting the seam by cutting a tubular ramp 2 every 20.0 meters from the basic roadway 1 to the roadway ventilation 3. The field thus limited is divided by an intermediate gallery 4 into two floors, lower and upper, with a chamber run of 40 meters to 60 meters. This field can be divided, in the event of unused run, into more than two floors depending on local mine conditions. Above the basic gallery 1, at a distance of about 20 meters, a parallel gallery 5 is constructed, an intermediate gallery 4 and a parallel gallery 5 pe- '^^^^^^Slgfogig^i with an inclination of 9° towards the tubular ramps 2 to facilitate water flow. Between the basic gallery 1 and the parallel gallery 5, halfway across the field between the tubular ramps 2, a tank ramp 6 is drilled, and opposite the chamber cuts 12 and 19, two water ramps 7 to drain the backfill water. Then, in the lower level of the field of the seam intended for reconstruction, chamber cuts 8 to 23 are drilled from the parallel gallery 5 to the gallery. intermediate 4. The first chamber cut 8 is bored at a distance of 9 meters from the pipe ramp 2, and then at a distance of 10 meters from each other. The mining of coal in the part of the seam prepared in this way begins simultaneously from the two outermost chamber cuts 8 and 23. Between the parallel gallery 5 and the chamber formed after mining and extracting the coal from them, a retaining pillar 24, 4 meters wide, is left, in which the cuts 25 are bored, connecting the chamber with the parallel gallery 5 and serving to extract the mined coal. Coal is mined using explosives, with blast holes drilled 4 meters downward on both sides of chamber cuts 8 and 23. Miners perform coal mining work from beneath the built-up ceiling of chamber cuts 8 and 23, which, as well as in the subsequent ones, are supported by wooden lining. The side frames in the chamber cuts are covered with boards on the outside to prevent mined coal from falling into the cuts. The mined coal remains in the working, forming a chamber on both sides of cuts 8 and 23, to partially support the exposed roof, from where it is gradually released through cuts 25. After the mined coal is completely released from the chambers, the crews move on to new cuts 11 and 19, and the empty chambers after the selected coal are backed up with sand. After the coal is extracted from cuts 11 and 19, the crews move on to cuts 9 and 22, then to cuts 12 and 18, and so on alternately. The selected chambers are immediately backed up in the order they were extracted. Cut 15 or 16 will remain to remove coal from the upper level, where mining will proceed in the same manner as the lower level. The chamber cut 15 or 16 is mined and backed up only after coal has been extracted from the upper level. A 2-meter-wide support pillar 26 is left between the selected chambers. The mined coal is released from the lower level chambers through the chambers 25, which contain chutes 27 that allow for the regulation of the amount of coal released from the chambers to the parallel gallery 5 onto conveyor 28, which transports it to the storage ramp 6. The coal is lowered from ramp 6 to the main gallery 1, where it is loaded onto mine carts. Coal from the upper level chambers is transported by conveyor 29, placed in the intermediate gallery 4, to the chamber cut 15 or 16 left in the lower level. Through the chamber cutting 15 or 16, coal 25 is lowered onto the conveyor 28 in the parallel gallery 5, and from there through the tank ramp 6 to the mine carts on the basic gallery 1. Fresh air for ventilation of the workings of the seam being rebuilt flows through the chamber system 30 from the basic gallery 1 through the tank ramp 6 to the parallel gallery 5, and from there to the individual chambers through the chamber cuttings where the coal is mined, and partly also through the cuttings 25. In the chamber cutting 35, 10 meters below the mining site, a ventilation cloth is hung, which directs the air flow to the side walls of the chamber. To avoid excessive air leakage through the chamber cuts where no mining is taking place, these cuts are closed with insulating dams made of ventilation fabric. Exhaust air from the chambers flows into the intermediate gallery 4 and the pipe ramps 2, and from there into the ventilation gallery 3. The use of chamber reconstruction according to the invention allows for the reconstruction of coal seams with steep slopes, which do not require support. When using chamber reconstruction, there is no need to relocate the conveyor. This reconstruction system results in increased coal yield and reduced wood consumption per unit of coal extracted.
