PL PLPriority: Published: 30.VIII.1968 55965 KI. 81 e, 15 MKP B 65 g UKD l^/t O? Inventor: Leonard Konieczny Patent owner: Wroclawska Fabryka Maszyn i Urzazen Przemyslu Spożywczego, Wroclaw (Poland) Plate conveyor for meat cutting and trimming line The subject of the invention is a plate conveyor for meat cutting and trimming line, intended especially for the meat industry but also suitable for use in other industries for transporting elements whose dimensions may change during transport, for example liquids in plastic foil packages. Known conveyors used so far for this purpose have a transporting element in the form of a belt, which constitutes a closed circuit, or in the form of plates attached to a drive system. The disadvantage of using a belt is the difficulty of washing and sterilizing because the water or sterilizing liquid is transported together with the belt. The belt is separated, and ensuring the separation of liquid from the belt requires increasing the unproductive surface of the conveyor. The disadvantage of the previously known plate elements is that gaps are created at the turning points of the individual plates, through which the transported elements can fall out or get stuck in them. These disadvantages are completely eliminated by the solution according to the invention. The aim of the present invention is to ensure the transport of the above-mentioned elements, especially meat, with the possibility of changing the position both at the turning points of the individual plates and at the bends of the conveyor, and to ensure easy keeping of the conveyor clean. The aim of the invention is to develop a structure for achieving this goal. The essence of the invention consists in designing a support plate, one of the edges of which is bent radially along its length, and the other is flat, while the plates are fixed to the sides. Flat bars are attached, each of which has a hole intended to accommodate a pin, which is an element of the joint and suspension of the plate. Furthermore, the essence of the invention lies in the mutual arrangement of the plates in such a way that the flat edge of one plate partially covers the rolled edge of the adjacent plate, creating a plane on straight sections, and in the attachment of the plates to the pins constituting an extension of the chain axis in such a way that each pin simultaneously carries the chain rollers, four elements of the chain itself, and the plate's flat bar, while a washer with a cotter pin is mounted at the end of the pin. A cover is attached to the conveyor frame, covering the side edges of the bearing plate, protecting it against unwanted rotation when changing the direction of movement, for example at the height of the turning point. at the drive station. A particular advantage of the conveyor design according to the invention is that it consists of typical elements: a tensioning station, a horizontal drive station, an angle drive station 5596555965 3 , . ,., 4 , and segments of the central part of the conveyor. This allows for the construction of transport lines of a desired length and the appropriate positioning of individual lines relative to each other. The frame structure of the apron conveyor is adapted for attachment to the side parts of the frame in any location on the processing tables where meat carcasses are cut. Another advantage, unparalleled in continuous belt conveyors, is the ease of adjusting the conveyor length. by removing or installing the required number of segments of the central part and the appropriate length of chain with bearing plates. Yet another advantage is that the bearing plates are mounted not on the chain plates, but on the pins that are the chain joints, which allows for flexible shaping of the upper surface of the conveyor without the formation of gaps. The subject of the invention is shown in the attached drawings, in which Fig. 1 shows a fragment of the connection of the carrier plate with the pulling chain in a perspective view, Fig. 2 - a section of the return wheel with the chain and carrier plates in a side view, Fig. 3 - a cover of the carrier plates in a cross-section of the conveyor along the line A—A in Fig. 2 and Fig. 4 - a diagram of the conveyor in a side view showing various positions of the carrier plates. The carrier plate 1 has permanently fixed flat bars 2 on both sides, in which holes 3 are made for rotatable mounting of the plate through a sleeve 4 to the pins 5 of the chain 6. The carrier plate 1 is constructed in such a way that one of its edges along its length it is wrapped radially, and the other is flat, with the flat edge of one plate partially covering the wrapped end of the adjacent plate. Chain 6 is provided with support rollers 7 also mounted on pin 5. Each flat bar 2 of plate 1 has washers 8 on both sides. Pin 5 has a spherical end at one end, and at its other end there is a washer 9 and a cotter pin 10. Roller 7 rests on the tracks 11, which also constitutes the supporting structure of the conveyor frame 12. The upper surface of the support plates 1 is covered by a cover 13, which covers the side edges of the plates 1, which protects the transported element from falling onto the tracks 11, and at the turning points it limits undesirable a given deflection of the plates 1 beyond the outline of the cover 13. The supporting rollers 7 of the chain 6 are mounted in the grooves of the gear wheel 14. Two gear wheels 14 are placed on a common axle driven by the conveyor drive system 15. The entire conveyor consists of typical elements such as the drive station 16, the middle part element 17 and the tensioning station 18. The operation of the conveyor according to the invention is presented below. After starting the conveyor drive system 15, the gear wheels 14 are set in rotation, which causes the rollers 7 of the chain 6 to move along the track 11. The chain 6 simultaneously moves the pins 5, and thus through the bushing 4 and flat bars 2 of the bearing plates 1. During the operation of the conveyor, the loaded bearing plate 1 transfers the loads to the pins 5, rollers 7 and tracks 11. When changing the direction of movement on the wheel 14, the bearing plates 1 are covered with a cover 13 which protects them against undesirable deflection and prevents the formation of gaps. The upper arrangement of the bearing plates 1 constitutes a plane, while the lower arrangement constitutes a row of vertically deflected bearing plates (fig. 4) because they are not limited by the cover 13. In this way, the conveyor automatically cleans itself from the remains of the transported elements in a precisely defined place, and furthermore, the friction of the bearing plates 1 on the tracks 11 is eliminated, which reduces the power consumption. conveyor drive.
