Mozliwosc zastosowania dowolnie grubych, zeliw¬ nych pierscieni sprezystych, zapewnia dlugotrwala 25 prace urzadzenia bez wymiany uszczelek, a dosta¬ tecznie obszerny rowek na wewnetrznej powierzch¬ ni tulei umozliwia zbieranie przecieków, nawet po jednym pierscieniu sprezystym, dzieki czemu ca¬ losc tworzy stosunkowo krótka, zwarta i lekka 30 konstrukcje. Edmund 'Nowaki; Patent owner: Zaklady [Mechaniczne "Tarnów", ITarnów ((Poland) Shaft sealing, especially piston rod of a hydraulic press The subject of the invention is the sealing of shafts, especially piston rod of a hydraulic press. In the previously known design solutions of hydraulic drives, various movement seals are used. The most common are lip seals, made of various types of plastics or leather. These seals are U-shaped rings, the inner wall of which embraces the piston rod, and the outer wall adheres to the hole in the sleeve or in the gland body. The operation of these seals is based on the fact that the fluid pressure presses the inner wall The sealing ring is pressed against the piston rod, and the outer ring against the sleeve or body bore, exerting the pressure necessary to achieve tightness. It is obvious that such pressure of the seal against the piston rod causes a high friction force, which results in significant resistance to the piston rod movement and reduces the overall efficiency of the device. The second disadvantage of lip seals is their rapid wear, because replacing the seal, as for example in the case of hydraulic presses, is combined with the laborious disassembly of the press, and heavy elements require the use of cranes for removal and positioning (after renovation). Other types of hydraulic drive moving seals include the following: sealing with a soft cord, enclosed in a a sealing ring; a holding of hard sealing rings 2 with a metal jacket filled with a graphite-lubricant mixture, pressed by the gland pressure through holes located on the inner surface of the jacket; a seal consisting of 5 divided metal conical rings, in which the gland pressure causes the outer rings to be pressed against the gland walls and the inner rings against the piston rod; a seal consisting of a series of multi-part rings pressed against the piston rod by annular helical springs; a composite seal, for example consisting of a series of metal rings, between which there is a metal ring with annular groove on the surface adjacent to the piston rod, for better lubrication of the gland; sealing with cast iron spring rings, however, usually used to seal the piston, not the piston rod. In newer solutions, seals are found that are made of various sealing materials, creating a kind of dough or putty, more or less plastic. All of these seals, when used in hydraulic drives, have the following disadvantages: they wear out quickly and either do not ensure tightness over long pressures or create a very long row of seals, which lengthens the entire device structure, and all of them exert high pressure on the piston rod, reducing the overall efficiency. Due to the fact that increasingly better technical and economic indicators are required from modern technical devices, it is important to reduce the weight of these devices and reduce resistance to movement. The aim of the invention is to develop a sealing design that would enable long-term operation of a hydraulic device without replacing the seal in the glands, while maintaining good tightness, without exerting high pressure on the piston rod and with small dimensions of the seal, especially in the direction of the piston rod length. This effect was achieved thanks to the fact that the upper gland contains a sleeve with a groove connected to the discharge tube, mounted in the body and in the cover groove, the sleeve being supported by closed ring plate with spring rings between which the ring is mounted, and the lower gland contains a sleeve mounted in the body and pressed against the cover in which spring rings are mounted between which the ring is mounted, and pressed by spring rings from the cylinder side, between which the ring is mounted and the closed ring plate. The possibility of using any thick cast iron spring rings ensures long-term operation of the device without replacing the seals, and a sufficiently large groove on the inner surface of the sleeve allows for collecting leaks, even after one spring ring, thanks to which the whole creates relatively short, compact and light construction. The subject of the invention is shown in the example embodiment in the drawing, which shows a vertical cross-section of the hydraulic press drive along the cylinder axis together with the glands. As shown in the drawing, the upper gland sealing the piston rod 1 against oil leaks from the cylinder 2 comprises a body 3 made in the cylinder cover, which at the same time constitutes the connecting saw/s of the hydraulic press. In the body 3, on the cylinder side, there are cast iron spring rings 4, between which a ring 6 is mounted, held by an annular plate 5 fastened with screws to the body 3, and a bronze sleeve 7, which has a wide groove 10 on the surface adjacent to the piston rod 45, connecting through a hole in the sleeve with The discharge pipe 8. The sleeve 7 is fastened from above by a cover ring 9 fastened with screws to the body 3. In the recess of the cover 9 there are second 50 cast iron spring rings 11, between which a ring 13 is mounted, held from above by a ring plate 12 fastened with screws to the cover half 9. The lower gland, sealing the piston rod 14 from oil leaks from the lower part of the cylinder 2, comprises a body 15 fastened with screws to the cylinder 2. 4. In the body 15 there is a sleeve 19, pressed from the cylinder side by spring rings 16, between which a ring 18 is mounted, closed by a plate The ring 17 is fastened with screws to the body 15, and at the bottom there is a cover 22, in which spring rings 21 are mounted, between which a ring 20 is mounted, fastened with screws to the body 15. The space 23 between the piston bearing 14 and the cover 22 is connected to a discharge pipe 24. The operation of the device according to the invention is as follows: the upper gland seals the piston rod 1 by means of cast iron spring rings 4, between which a ring 6 is mounted, tightly enclosing the piston rod, exerting a light pressure on it. Oil leaks, which can penetrate through the gaps in the spring ring locks or through other means, are collected in a wide groove 10 made in the sleeve 7, from where they are drained through a tube 8 to the outside of the device. The remaining liquid on the piston rod 1 during its upward movement is scraped off by the second cast iron spring rings 11 between which the ring 13 is mounted, and during the downward movement of the piston rod 1, they return to the groove 10 in the sleeve 7 and flow down through a tube 8 to the outside of the device. To enable the assembly of thick cast iron spring rings 4 and 11, the outer front walls of the grooves guiding these rings are made as separate elements 5 and 12, fastened with screws to the body of the gland 3 and to the ring 9. The lower gland seals piston rod 14 analogously, the only difference being that the cover 22 containing the drainage chamber, i.e. the space 23 for collecting oil leaks, is located on one side of the spring rings 16 and 21.
