The subject of the utility model is a vertical rail, intended for sliding elements used in construction and furniture industry. The rail is part of a frame that is used especially for sliding walls, doors and mirrors. The description of the Polish utility model no. W 114637 shows the section from which the vertical stiles are made. A section of the formula has a rectangular outline in cross-section with an internal rectangular pocket. Tied to one edge of its broader side is an arcuate wall that passes at its other end into an arcuate transverse connector associated with the other edge of that side. The arched wall with the connector and the wider side of the section has the shape of a triangular claw, the sharp end of which protrudes beyond the outline of the section. Part of the well-known triangular claw profile provides a firm and comfortable support for the fingers, and the gentle and shallow arches of the claw allow easy cleaning.

The inner pocket of the known section caused technological problems in the profile production process, causing scratches to appear on the outer, decorative surface of the stile. This problem has been eliminated in the stile according to the formula.

The patterned vertical stile has a cross-sectional shape similar to a rectangle, one of the long walls of which is longer than the other long wall and ends with a triangular claw-shaped projection. The two short walls each have two projections parallel to the long walls and directed towards the inside of the stile, the projections on the upper short wall being straight and the projections on the lower short wall being bent. The stile according to the pattern has a more convenient construction from a technological point of view, and furthermore, the elimination of the inner pocket made it possible to thicken the outer wall of the stile without increasing its weight.
