PL PL PLPriority: Published: 15/10/1972 66111 KI. 80a, 6/07 MKP B28c 7/10 UKD Co-inventors of the invention: Bogdan Kulikowski, Ernest Piskozub Patent owner: Biuro Projektów i Studiów Przemyslu Ceramiki Budowlanej, Poznań (Poland) Circular feeder for clay and other plastic masses The subject of the invention is a circular feeder for clay and other plastic masses. Circular feeders with single-sided or double-sided zone removal are known, in which the drive from the engine is transmitted via a gear to the rotating floor of the feeder, which also serves as a collecting plate, and to the removal and mixing paws. A stationary discharge arm is attached to a stationary hopper. These known feeders have a number of disadvantages, most notably their disproportionately high drive energy consumption compared to the machine's capacity and efficiency. The high drive power also makes these machines heavy, which causes a number of difficulties in installation. These feeders also suffer from significant inconsistency in raw material dosing and clumping. They also lack the ability to precisely regulate feeder output, and the outlet is often blocked by material. These latter drawbacks are particularly significant in modern automated production lines. The goal of the invention was to create a feeder that would eliminate the above drawbacks and fully meet the requirements of automated production. This goal was achieved in the solution according to the invention, in which the circular feeder has a rotating hopper connected to the floor and an associated collecting plate. These rotating assemblies are supported on a cross-shaped roller slewing bearing and are driven by a toothed ring from the drive unit. The toothed ring is mounted on the outer race of the slewing bearing. The feeder has mixing paws and swivel or extendable discharge arms mounted on a stationary central segment, mounted with a slewing bearing and drive unit on the base. The hopper has outlet windows along the entire perimeter, and the collecting plate is equipped with a stationary scraper with a knife that cuts off the mass pushed out of the hopper. The knife is in the form of a plate with a vertical blade edge or a vertically tensioned wire. The discharge arms are adjustable in a swivel or extendable manner using a manual mechanism. The circular feeder according to the invention is characterized by a favorable kinematic system, which reduces drive power consumption relative to the device's efficiency and reduces the machine's weight. Its simple and modern design ensures convenient and correct operation as well as reliable operation and capacity control. These advantages meet all the requirements for modern devices intended for operation in automated production lines. The subject of the invention is shown in Fig. 4 in a vertical cross-section, Fig. 2 shows the feeder in a top view, Fig. 3 shows the mechanism for tilting the discharge arms, and Fig. 4 shows the mechanism for extending the discharge arms. As shown in the drawing, the feeder consists of a rotary charging hopper 1 connected to the floor 2 and to a collecting plate 3. The floor 2 is equipped with elongated radially arranged holes. The hopper 1 with the floor 2 and the collecting plate 3 are mounted on the outer raceway 4 of the cross-roller slewing bearing 5 and driven by the driving devices 6 via the gear wheel 7 and the toothed ring 8. The toothed ring 8 is attached to the outer raceway 4 of the bearing 5. The inner raceway 9 of the bearing 5 is mounted together with the driving device 6 and the central segment 10 on the base 11. On the fixed central segment 10 are mounted the mixing paws 12 and the discharge arms 13, the position of which is adjustable in a tilting or extending manner by means of a lever-operated hand mechanism 14. The charging hopper 1 is equipped with outlet windows along its entire circumference. 15. A stationary scraper 16 is mounted above the collecting plate 3, equipped with a cutting knife 17 in the form of a plate with a vertical blade edge. The clay fed to the feeder fills the hopper 1 and together with it circulates around the central segment 10. The holes in the floor 2 ensure proper adhesion of the clay to the hopper 1, which ensures its proper mixing by the stationary mixing paws 12. Stationary scraping arms 13 are used to scrape the clay through the outlet windows 15 in the hopper 1. The amount of scraped clay is regulated by changing the distance of the scraping arms 13 from the hopper 1. This is done by tilting the scraping arms 13 by means of a manual lever mechanism 14. The clay pushed out through the outlet windows 15 is cut off by the knife 17, which prevents it from clumping, and falls onto the collecting plate 3. The scraper 16 moves the clay from the collecting plate 3 to the inlet of the further processing machine in precisely regulated quantities and in a favorable, non-lumpy form. PL PL PL
