PL PL PLPublished: 15/11/1973 66716 KI. 5b,25/00 MKP E21c 25/00 "cTyTeTnTa ?u Patentowego Inventor: Jan Kulesza Patent owner: Zaklady Konstrukcyjno-Mechanizacyjne Przemyslu Węgielowego, Gliwice (Poland) Ring-shaped cutting tool for mining shearers, especially roadheaders The subject of the invention is a ring-shaped cutting tool for mining shearers, especially roadheaders, which is self-cutting and then cutting off the mineral. Ring-shaped cutting tools are known, provided with cutting picks on the circumferential surface and the front surface, as well as an external toothed ring engaging with the drive pinion. The ring is mounted in the body of the shearer. The shearer is moved by means of a using commonly known tractors. During operation, the header uses frontal knives to cut a piece of mineral from the rock mass. This piece enters the ring and then breaks under its own weight and falls onto the conveyor, or breaks on an arc-shaped breaker placed behind the header and moving with it. The peripheral knives widen the gap between the header and the rock mass to accommodate the header body. The use of an external bearing for the header and an external gear ring significantly lengthens the header and prevents it from operating in a curve, and even small turns can cause it to jam. This header requires recesses because the drive does not allow for self-closing. This is particularly important for roadheaders equipped with an articulated boom at the end of which the header is located. The cutter head and boom rotate horizontally during operation. The purpose of the invention is to adapt ring cutters to self-entry and work in an arc-shaped line, so that they can be used with boom roadheaders. This purpose was achieved in the ring cutter head according to the invention, which consists of an outer shell on which helical grooves are cut, and on the backs of which cutting knives are mounted. On the front side, the cutter head is equipped with cutting knives, which cut a piece of mineral from the rock mass during the axial movement of the cutter head. On the inner side, the shell has a toothed ring that engages with the drive pinion, thus forming a spur gear with internal gearing. The shell of the cutter head is mounted on an annular frame, relative to which it rotates during operation, and which, together with the gear frame, forms a system of two tangential rings, the spacing of their axes being greater than the difference in their radii, so that at their contact point an open space is created within which the toothed ring and the drive pinion engage. The annular organ according to the invention is designed primarily for cutting with a front face equipped with knives over the entire width. Cutting with the annular organ according to the invention begins with cutting to a depth of one web, equal to a maximum of half the diameter of the organ. During the cutting process, the knives 66 71666 3 (arranged along the screw helix) mainly cut. Then The shearer moves along the rock mass, or the boom rotates, forming an arc. During this movement, the head cuts the rock mass with knives placed on its front surface, cutting off the mineral wall. The cut strip of mineral passes through the head's interior and, after reaching a short length, breaks off automatically. When mining a mineral of high density, the resulting strip can be broken off by slowly moving the boom perpendicularly to the head's axis or by using breakers. While breaking off the mineral strip, knives placed along the inner edge, directed towards the axis, cut the strip, facilitating the mineral extraction at that point. Thanks to the annular body on which the shell is mounted, The head does not tend to vibrate and its operation is more smooth, especially when moving along an arc. This arrangement and shape of the head body does not require the making of recesses and allows for cutting along an arc with a radius of no less than 120 cm. The annular cutting head according to the invention is shown in the attached drawing, where Fig. 1 shows the axial section of the head, while Fig. 2 shows the cross-section of the head. On the drive shaft 1 there is mounted a pinion 2, which engages with the internal toothed rim 3 of the casing 4. The outer casing 4 of the head is mounted on an annular frame 5, which together with the gear frames 13 forms a system of two intersecting rings. On the outer surface of the casing 4 are cut with helical grooves 6, which facilitate the removal of crushed mineral from the slot. On the ridges 7 of helical grooves 6, cutting knives 8 are arranged. A ring 9 with cutting knives 10 is attached to the mantle 4 on the front side, with the outer edge of ring 9 being cut off. Along the inner edge 11 of ring 9, knives 12 are arranged, with the diameter of the tips of knives 12 being smaller than the inner diameter of ring 9, and these knives are directed diagonally to the axis, with their blades in the direction of cutting. The work cycle begins with the cutting of the head, during which the knives 8 work, and then the shearer moves along The roadheader's boom rotates. During this movement, the front 10' knives operate, cutting off a piece of mineral, which moves along the header's axis and then breaks off under its own weight. If the mined mineral is very compact, the lobe can be cut with knives 12, moving perpendicularly to the header's axis. After the work cycle is completed, the header returns to the entry position and the work cycle is repeated. The header can be used for all minerals, requiring only the changing of the cutting knives, for example, for bits. PL PL PL
