Known solutions for book covers, among others they consist of two facings and a spine attached to the booklet, in which the sheets of the multi-booklet are machine-sewn with a thin thread with a hollow stitch, and then additionally glued together on the spine.

Another solution is glued binding, in which the pages are joined together by gluing the insert, which automatically results in the formation of a flat spine, the cover binding with a uniform cover is glued to the spine and partially to the outer sides of the insert.

There is a known outlay binding - a typical binding, intended for normal use, with average aesthetics, not too complicated method of connecting the insert with the cover, and not too complicated method of decorating the cover, determining a rational relation between the price of the binding and its appearance and durability.

A simple glued leather binding is also known, with a uniform cover glued only to the spine. In this binding, the cover has exactly two fractures, while the hard-leather binding with a veneer partially or entirely made of leather. Leather binding can be made for practical purposes - very high resistance of the cover to mechanical factors - or for decorative purposes. Leather veneer is most often decorated with embossing, which can be filled with paint, gilding, etc. Ordinary printing is rarely used on leather due to poor abrasion resistance, rather, these are inscriptions painted or applied with other similar techniques. Among the most exclusive leather bindings you can find products with covers closed with zippers, products with their own cases, stands, etc. Thick leather cover can be additionally formed into folds and other surface irregularities.

There is a sewn binding, a very popular term for an insert, in which the insert cards are joined by sewing with threads, wire or thermoplastic threads, with a non-uniform cover (consisting of many elements), in which the cover facings are completely stiff and usually with an area slightly larger than the pages contribution. The cover 9 of the book includes two facings 4 and a spine 5 ^ made of one sheet of light cardboard, rectangular in shape, covered with a paper flexible veneer 7, which serves as the cover material 9. The ends of the veneer 6 are folded and glued to the inner faces of the facings 4 along them edge. To each of the inner planes of the cover 4 is glued half of the end piece 7, while the other half of the end piece 7 is glued with a narrow strip along the spine 5 of the post 2 to the first and last pages of the book 2. In order to form the spine 5 of the cover 9, the cladding is subjected to the process of folding with two creases. Another form of the cover 9 according to the utility model is a veneer 6 made of linen. The next form of the cover 9 is the cover 4 covered with glued cloth.
