Description

Znany jest sposób wytwarzania wewnetrznie plastyfikowanej zywicy fenolowej metoda trzy¬ stopniowa (opis patentowy RFN nr 1520 636 z 1962 r., angielski nr 996 101 z 1963 r. i amery¬ kanski nr 3 256 222 z 1966 r.).W pierwszym etapie wytwarza sie niskoczastecz- kowy rezol z fenolu, formaliny i aniliny. Rezol ten 10 15 20 25 30 w drugim etapie ogrzewa sie z epoksydowanym olejem sojowym. W reakcji przylaczania wielo¬ wodorotlenowych fenoli do zwiazków epoksydo¬ wych stosowac mozna jedynie pewna czesc mono- fenoli.Okazalo sie, ze sposobem wedlug wynalazku re¬ akcje przylaczania mozna przeprowadzic stosujac jedynie fenole jednowodorotlenowe.Okazalo sie, ze sposobem wedlug wynalazku sto¬ sujac wczesniejsze przylaczenie monofenoli do ole¬ jów epoksydowanych w obecnosci aminy aroma¬ tycznej, a nastepnie prowadzac kondensacje z formaldehydem oraz stosujac odprowadzenie lot¬ nych ubocznych produktów kondensacji pod zmniejszonym cisnieniem mozna w szerokim za¬ kresie zmieniac ilosc wbudowanego do zywicy ole¬ ju bez obawy wczesniejszego usieciowania zywicy.Dodatkowa zaleta sposobu wytwarzania zywicy wedlug wynalazku jest fakt, ze mieszanina reak¬ cyjna zawiera molowy nadmiar formaldehydu, skutkiem czego w produkcie odpadkowym — des¬ tylacie ilosc wolnych fenoli jest niewielka.Wprowadzenie zywic fenolowych typu nowola- kowego i/lub rezolowego w dowolnym etapie pro¬ cesu wytwarzania zywicy z produktu przylaczania epoksydowanych olejów do fenoli jednowodorotle- nowych umozliwia zmniejszenie w gotowej zywicy ilosci plastyfikujacego oleju epoksydowanego. W kazdym etapie reakcji stosowac mozna mieszanine monofe¬ noli w dowolnych stosunkach. Przy wytwarzaniu zywicy sposobem wedlug wy¬ nalazku stosuje sie formaldehyd wprowadzajac go do reakcji roztworu wodnego — formaliny, w pos¬ taci gazowej lub substancji wydzielajacej go w czasie reakcji, np. paraformaldehydu. Jako substancje ulatwiajace wytworzenie rezolu 106 4 z produktu reakcji monofenolu z epoksydowanym olejem i formaldehydem stosuje sie znane katali¬ zatory : wode amoniakalna, pierwszo-, drugo- i trzeciorzedowe aminy alifatyczne i aromatyczne, 5 wodorotlenki, tlenki, weglany i fenolany metali al¬ kalicznych i metali ziem alkalicznych.Zywice wytworzone sposobem wedlug wynalaz¬ ku stosowac mozna do wyrobu tloczyw z wypel¬ niaczami organicznymi i nieorganicznymi, nawet L0 do przetwórstwa metoda wtrysku, laminatów, na¬ wet wykrawalnych na zimno, na podlozu papiero¬ wym, z tkanin z wlókien naturalnych, syntetycz¬ nych, szklanych lub mieszanych, laminatów z plyt pilsniowych, wiórowych lub skrawanego drewna, l5 do wytwarzania wszelkich wyrobów warstwowych takich, jak prety, rury, profile, do wyrobu lami¬ natów foliowanych miedzia, do produkcji lakierów, farb, powlok, papierów sciernych, tarcz sciernych, okladzin ciernych, klejów, blon klejowych, kitów i innych wyrobów elastycznych. 20 Przyklad I. These compounds do not participate in cross-linking of the resin and may migrate from the cured product. In order to obtain an intrinsic plasticizing effect, the resins are made of phenols with large aliphatic or aromatic substituents, e.g. polyalkylene polyphenols produced by the reaction of phenol with chlorinated paraffin waxes or unsaturated fatty acids in the presence of catalysts used in the Friedel-Crafts method. The resins produced from these phenols are internally plasticized, but their reactivity is low. There is known a three-stage process for producing internally plasticized phenolic resin (German Patent No. 1,520,636 of 1962, English Patent No. 996,101 of 1963, and American Patent No. 3,256,222 of 1966). in the first stage, a low molecular weight resol is produced from phenol, formalin and aniline. This resol is heated in a second step with epoxidized soybean oil. The product of connecting this oil to the resole reacts in the third stage with formalin in the presence of ammonia water as a catalyst. The resins obtained are internally plasticized and hardenable, however, the presence of products of further resol condensation in the reaction mixture, mainly formaldehyde and of water, especially at higher temperatures (140-150°C), causes premature gelling of the resin. Lowering the temperature to 130°C at this stage results in incomplete incorporation of the oil. Laminates made of a resin containing unincorporated oil are dull, easily delaminate and absorb a lot of water. Moreover, the product of oil-resol attachment is so thick that there are great difficulties in carrying out the third step of the reaction, condensation with formalin, and obtaining reproducible products. The process of condensation of low-molecular-weight resole is carried out with excess phenol and as a result of distillation a waste product is obtained - a distillate containing significant amounts of free phenol, which makes it necessary to regenerate or destroy it, and thus significantly complicates the technology. There are known methods of producing hardenable resins phenol-formaldehyde compounds with increased flexibility (Swiss patents 465 866 and 465 873 from 1968 and French patent 7410674 3 no. with formaldehyde, paraformaldehyde, hexamethylenetetramine, methylolphenol. The polyhydric phenols used are, for example, resorcinol, bisphenols or low molecular weight condensation products of phenol or cresol with formaldehyde, eg novolacs containing 3 to 5 phenolic rings per molecule. Only a certain proportion of the monophenols can be used in the addition reaction of polyhydric phenols to epoxides. connection of monophenols to epoxidized oils in the presence of an aromatic amine, followed by condensation with formaldehyde and removal of volatile by-products of condensation under reduced pressure, the amount of oil incorporated into the resin can be changed to a large extent without fear of earlier cross-linking An additional advantage of the method of preparing the resin according to the invention is the fact that the reaction mixture contains a molar excess of formaldehyde, as a result of which the amount of free phenols in the distillate waste product is small. stage of the process produces Removing the resin from the product of the addition of epoxidized oils to monohydric phenols makes it possible to reduce the amount of plasticizing epoxidized oil in the finished resin. In the preparation of the resin according to the invention, phenol, cresols, xylenols and alkyl- or arylphenols are used as monophenols. At each stage of the reaction, other monophenols can be introduced, eg phenol during addition to epoxidized oils, cresol during condensation with formaldehyde, and xylenol-formaldehyde resin to the produced condensation product. In each step of the reaction, a mixture of monophenols can be used in any proportions. The epoxidized oils can be esters of fully or partially epoxidized unsaturated and/or saturated acids with unsaturated and/or saturated alcohols in which the epoxide groups are present in the acid and/or alcohol. For example, epoxidized rapeseed, soybean or linseed oil can be used. As aromatic amines used as catalysts for the reaction of monophenols with epoxidized oils, aromatic mono- and/or polyamines are used in amounts of 0.05 to 0.5, preferably 0.1 to 0.5 0.3 mole per mole of monophenol. In the preparation of the resin by the process of the present invention, formaldehyde is used by introducing it into the reaction of an aqueous solution - formalin, in gaseous form or in the form of a substance releasing it during the reaction, eg paraformaldehyde. Formaldehyde is introduced in an amount of from 1 to 2.2, preferably from 1.1 to 1.4 moles per mole of monophenol. catalysts: ammonia water, primary, secondary and tertiary aliphatic and aromatic amines, hydroxides, oxides, carbonates and phenolates of alkali metals and alkaline earth metals. With organic and inorganic additives, up to L0, for injection molding, laminates, whether or not cold die-cut, on a paper base, fabrics of natural, synthetic, glass or mixed fibres, laminates of fiberboard, chipboard or wood, for the production of all layered products, such as rods, pipes, profiles, for the production of copper foil laminates, for the production of varnishes, paints, coatings, sandpaper, discs abrasives, friction linings, adhesives, adhesive films, putties and other flexible products.
