PLDescription of the design: The subject of the utility model is a mechanism for changing the position of a headrest, particularly for upholstered furniture. Polish patent application P23796 describes an electric headrest designed for upholstered furniture such as sofas, armchairs, or other lounge furniture, with a mechanism for changing the position of the headrest. At least two plates are located on the backrest frame, and each plate is equipped with at least two linear bearings, in which the headrest guides slide. The guides have a crossbar in their lower sections, to which a linear actuator is mounted on supports, driven by an electric motor mounted on the backrest frame plate supports. The electric motor is connected to a controller. To move the headrest, a controller sends a signal to the electric motor, which in turn influences the linear actuator, which in turn causes the crossmember to move upward, thus moving the headrest upward on the guides. Lowering the headrest is achieved by changing the electric motor's direction. This then moves the crossmember downward via the linear actuator, and with it, the headrest position is lowered by moving the guides downward. In the known solution, the headrest positioning mechanism allows the headrest to be set to any height by linearly moving it up and down in a vertical plane, without the use of physical force. However, it is not possible to change the headrest position by angularly moving it from the folded to the unfolded position. To change the angular position of the headrest, a mechanism was developed whose design allows the headrest angle to be changed without the use of physical force. The mechanism for changing the headrest position, especially for upholstered furniture according to the utility model, having an electric motor driving a vertically movable carriage and guides on which sliders constituting bearing housings are slidably placed, is characterized in that it has a synchronizer in the form of a plate attached to the movable sliders and sets of pull rods, right and left, being a mirror image of each other, each set of pull rods consisting of a lower pull rod articulated with a rivet to the bottom of the headrest pull rod and articulated with a rivet to the bottom of the control pull rod, and the headrest pull rod is attached with its lower part to the synchronizer and its upper part is articulated with a rivet to the angle bracket, while the control pull rod is articulated with its upper part to the The lower rod ends with a guide slidably positioned in a diagonal recess in the sidewall of the body. The guides are attached to the body, and the carriage is attached to the synchronizer brackets. The headrest adjustment mechanism, as designed in the utility model, allows for angular adjustment of the headrest without the use of physical force. Thanks to the mechanism's design, the headrest can be adjusted within a wide range, from parallel to the ground (i.e., folded), through diagonal intermediate positions, to the unfolded (open) position. During the vertical movement of the headrest rod, the guide, moving in the diagonal recess, forces the angle bar to rotate, thus changing the headrest position. The headrest rod is connected to the control rod via a rivet, which slides during movement and is located in the headrest rod's arc recess, increasing the stiffness and stability of the entire kinematic system. The body's construction allows for the installation of a synchronizer via movable sliders operating on linear guides, a set of rods, and an electric motor. The mechanism's design is so compact that it is invisible in upholstered furniture. The utility model provides tension for the foam and fabric, enhancing the furniture's aesthetic appearance by preventing fabric wrinkling. The subject of the utility model is shown in the drawing, in which fig. 1 shows the mechanism in the folded position in a front view, fig. 2 – the mechanism in the folded position in a side view, fig. 3 – the mechanism in an isometric view, fig. 4 – the mechanism in the unfolded position in a front view, fig. 5 – the mechanism in the unfolded position in a side view, fig. 6 – the mechanism in the unfolded position in an isometric view, fig. 7 – the body of the mechanism in a front view, fig. 8 – the body of the mechanism in a side view, fig. 9 – the body of the mechanism in an isometric view, fig. 10 – the set of rods in the unfolded position in a side view, fig. 11 – the set of rods in the unfolded position in a front view, fig. 12 – the set of rods in the unfolded position in an unfolded isometric view, Fig. 13 – synchronizer in an isometric view, Fig. 14 – headrest in the furniture in the folded position, Fig. 15 – headrest in the furniture in the unfolded position. The mechanism for changing the headrest position, especially for upholstered furniture according to the utility model, consists of a body 1, a drive unit 2 and two sets of rods 3, right and left, which are mirror images of each other. Body 1 is formed by a front wall 4 passing into side walls 5. Guides 6 are attached to the front wall 4 near the side walls 5. Each guide 6 has a base 7 and a linear guiding element 8 on which a slider 9 constituting a bearing mounting is slidably placed. In the front wall 4 there are holes 10 for fastening the body 1 to the furniture and holes 29 for fastening the electric motor 12. In each side wall 5 of the body 1 there is an obliquely placed through-hole 11. The drive unit 2 is made of an electric motor 12 fastened to the lower part of the front wall 4 and a carriage 13 driven by it, moving on a vertical pole 14. The carriage 13 is fastened to the brackets 15 of the synchronizer 16 in the form of a plate fastened by its shorter sides to the sliders 9. Each set of rods 3 is made of a lower rod 17 connected in an articulated manner by means of a rivet 19 to the bottom of the headrest rod 18 and in an articulated manner by means of a rivet 20 to the bottom of the control rod 21. At the end lower rod 17 is fitted with a guide 27 slidably placed in a recess 11 made in the side wall 5 of the body 1. The headrest rod 18 is connected with its upper part in a pivotal manner to the angle bracket 23 by means of a rivet 22, and the control rod 21 is connected with its upper part in a pivotal manner to the angle bracket 23 by means of a rivet 28. Furthermore, the headrest rod 18 is connected with the control rod 21 by means of a rivet 24 slidably placed in a curved recess 25 made in the headrest rod 18. In the lower part of the headrest rod 18 there is a bent bracket 26 used to attach the headrest rod 18 to the synchronizer 16. The guide 27 connects the lower rod 17 with side wall 5 of the body 1, wherein in this connection, between the lower rod 17 and the side wall 5, there is a spacer washer 30 placed on the guide 27. The guide 27, during the vertical movement of the headrest rod 18, moves in the oblique recess 11, forcing the rotation of the angle bracket 23 and thus changing the position of the headrest Z. Each set of 3 rods is located on the inner side of the side wall 5 of the body 1. A headrest plate Z is attached to the angle brackets 23. The mechanism together with the headrest plate Z is covered with foam P and covered with fabric T. As a result of starting the electric motor 12, the carriage 13 moves upwards along the column 14, simultaneously causing the synchronizer 16, to which the headrest rods are attached, to move upwards along the guides 6 18. As a result of the movement of the rods of each set of rods 3, an angular change in the position of the angle brackets 23 occurs and thus of the headrest plate PZ with the headrest Z. The upward movement of the synchronizer 16 causes, via the sets of rods 3, a change in the position of the headrest Z, from a position parallel to the ground, i.e. the folded position, through intermediate positions, to an oblique position, i.e. the unfolded or open position. On the other hand, the downward movement of the synchronizer 16 causes, via the sets of rods 3, a change in the position of the headrest Z, from the unfolded position, through intermediate positions, until the folded position is achieved. During the upward or downward movement of the set of rods 3, the guide 27 of the lower rod 17 moves upward or downward, respectively, in the obliquely positioned recess 11. The kinematics of the mechanism selected in this way performs the intended movement of the rods 3 and the headrest Z, on which the foam P is placed, which is also permanently attached to the backrest.
