Description

Przedmiotem wynalazku jest kaseta automatycz¬ nego urzadzenia kserograficznego przystosowana do uzywania w diagnostyce medycznej.Znana kaseta z publikacji prof. Szymanowskie¬ go „Elektrofotografia,, Warszawa, 1965 r. str. 1 przedstawia kasete z uwidocznio¬ nym czesciowym przekrojem jednego zatrzasku i prowadnic wspóldzialajacych z wlasciwym umieszczaniem plyty kserograficznej wewnatrz tej kasety w widoku z góry, fig. 2 — kasete czescio¬ wo otwarta z fig. 1, przygotowana; do wlozenia do niej plyty kserograficznej w widoku z przodu, fig. 3 — kasete z fig. 1, czesciowo otwarta, w wi¬ doku z boku, fig. 4 — czesci dodatkowe pokrywy górnej do kasety z fig. 1 w czesciowym widoku od dolu, a fig. 5 — przekrój poprzeczny dodat¬ kowej pokrywy z fig. 4 w plaszczyznie 5—5. Symetrycznie ustawiona w stosunku do podstawy i przebiegajaca nad plasz¬ czyzna przedniej, tylnej i bocznych scian znajduje sie powierzchnia 56, przystosowana do podtrzy¬ mywania dolnej powierzchni plyty kserograficznej, wlozonej do kasety. Grzbie¬ ty 62 i przednia czesc powierzchni 56 maja sko¬ sne sciecia 62' i 56*, dla zlikwidowania mozliwosci zaciecia sie plyty podczas wkladania jej do kase¬ ty. 3). Gdy palce 106 sa cal¬ kowicie wyciagniete, zazebienie ich z wewnetrz- nymi rowkami 197 powoduje utrzymywanie pokry¬ wy w pozycji zamknietej i zapobiega otwarciu kasety. Kanaly 108 sa przy¬ stosowane do wspólpracy z ukladem otwierania kasety, dzieki czemu kaseta moze byc wlasciwie ustawiana w stosunku do nich i otwierana w ce¬ lu wkladania i ewentualnie wyjmowania z niej *0 plyty kserograficznej. Takie mechanizmy i spo¬ sób, w który one wspólpracuja z wkladana do nich kaseta, sa bardziej szczególowo opisane w wymienionym powiazanym zgloszeniu. 45 Fig. 4 i 5 przedstawia czesc wnetrza dodatko¬ wej pokrywy 120 do stosowania z podstawa 42 z fig. 1—3. Taki nacisk powodowalby wydecie naciagnietej przepony, która moglaby stykac sie z utajonym obrazem elektrostatycznym i naruszac go. Podczas tej operacji ka¬ seta odskakuje nieco w tyl i wtedy pokrywa ka¬ sety zostaje automatycznie opuszczona do zamk¬ nietej i zatrzasnietej pozycji. Dokladna stycznosc spodu plyty kserograficznej z hamujacym poslizg materialem, powoduje utrzymywanie plyty kserograficznej we wlozonej pozycji, gdy kaseta zostaje automatycz¬ nie uwolniona. W koncu, po- niewaz material ten ma byc stosowany w diagno¬ styce medycznej, powinien on byc odpowiednio chemicznie nieczynny, znoszac dobrze chemiczna sterylizacje, na przyklad za pomoca alkoholu izo¬ propylowego. jaca plyte wspólliniowo z pionowym torem plyty w mechanizmie podajacym plyte.84859 46-^ «4 68 1W 106 72 80 Fig. 184859 1 Fig. 2 DN-7 — Zam. 2537/76 Cena 10 zl PL PL PLThe subject of the invention is a cassette of an automatic xerographic device adapted for use in medical diagnostics. The well-known cassette from the publication of prof. Szymanowski, "Elektrophotography", Warsaw, 1965, p. 333 is a typical laboratory device for landing plates for X-rays. The loaded plate, ready for exposure, has a latch that slides and then it is treated like an ordinary charged cassette. X-ray film. This cassette is used to carry the xerographic plate from the charging device through the external illumination station to the developing device, the xerographic plate being kept in a light-proof environment that the uniform electrostatic charge and possibly the latent electro-static image on it is protected against surrounding photochemical radiation. The design of the cassette allows the xerographic plate to be automatically inserted and removed by the respective components of an automated xerographic machine. The object of the present invention is to provide a cassette which is automatically opened upon insertion into the respective components of an automated xerographic machine; a cassette that holds a xerographic plate, suitable for transfer by an automated xerographic device: a cassette which, in conjunction with an automated xerographic device, keeps the electrostatically charged xerographic plate in a light-proof environment while the plate is inserted into it, the exposure of the plate is exposed to light the image of the radiation and the removal of the photographic plate therefrom; a cassette which protects the xerographic plate contained therein from inadvertent damage when the cassette holding the plate is manually transferred to the outside of an automated xerographic machine; and a cassette cover that supports a sealed, stretched diaphragm just adjacent to, but slightly distant from, the photoconductive surface of the xerographic plate placed inside the cassette. the xerographic plate has a raised plane supporting the plate in the center of its surface, the plane protruding slightly above the front edge of the base, which edge is slightly sloped to prevent the plate from jamming when inserting it into the cassette, at least one guide channel for the correct positioning of the panel, its surface photosensitive to the position of illumination, and moreover, side rails located between the rear and front walls of the base cooperating with the grooves of the mechanism feeding the plate, 848598 84859 4, and also the support rail supporting the panel in line with the vertical track discs in the disc feed mechanism. The cover has Properly positioned spines that engage with the base ridges near the guide channels and under the xerographic plate to further hold the plate in the cassette when you manually turn the cassette over. sealed environment adapted to prevent exposure to the xerographic plate in the cassette by surrounding electromagnetic radiation when the cassette is closed. Latches are also provided to lock the lid from the base when the cassette is closed. Only after the latches are deliberately opened by the automatic components of the xerographic device, the cassette can be opened for the insertion or removal of the xerographic plate. In this way, during the manual handling of the cassette, when it is moved from the charging device through the illumination station to the developing station, the xerographic plate in the cassette is kept in a light-tight environment that prevents exposure to the charged or maintains an electrostatic latent image. photochemically acting electromagnetic radiation that could degrade the image quality. The side walls of the cover and the base are embossed so that each side of the cassette has channels that interact with the automatic components in the charging stations and development, by automatically opening the cassette upon insertion. For further participation in the opening operations, notches are made in the lower wall of the base, which cooperate with the elements on the outside to lock the base in the desired position during the operation of inserting and possibly removing the xerographic plate. A different cover may be used here. which has elements supporting the diaphragm. This diaphragm is positioned parallel and at a short distance from the photoconductive surface of the xerographic plate. Since there is an air space above the base between the diaphragm and the inner surface of the top wall, it is possible for the diaphragm to inflate and come into contact with the charged photoconductive surface of the plate by pressure on the cover. Such contact may adversely affect image quality. Accordingly, exhaust openings are provided in the diaphragm retaining means, so that air trapped above the diaphragm can escape from the air chamber when on. pressure is exerted on the lid. Essentially, this eliminates bloating of the diaphragm and the possibility of it having a detrimental effect on image quality. In addition, a cutout of the filter insertion plate may be made in the diaphragm retaining members or in the ridges of the cover. This makes it possible to modify the image radiation incident on the charged xerographic plate. The notch and the filter therein are positioned so that they do not obstruct the escape of air through the outlet openings when the diaphragm and the filter are placed inside the cassette cover. a partial sectional view of one latch and guides interacting with the proper positioning of the xerographic plate inside this cassette as seen from above, Fig. 2, the partially open cassette of Fig. 1, prepared; for insertion of a xerographic plate in front view, Fig. 3 - cassette of Fig. 1, partially open, side view, Fig. 4 - additional parts of the top cover for the cassette of Fig. 1 in partial view from below and FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the additional cover of FIG. 4 in a plane 5-5. Figures 1-3 show the cassette 40 into which the xerographic plate of the aforementioned associated application is inserted. The cassette 40 has a base 42 and a top cover 44 connected to each other hinged at the rear by hinges 46 which allow opening and closing. closing the lid so that you can insert and remove the xerographic plate. The hinges 46 are of a typical design and their additional description seems unnecessary. The base 42 has a flat bottom wall 48, a front wall 50, side walls 52 and a rear wall 54. Symmetrically aligned with the base and extending over the plane of the front, rear and side walls is a surface 56 adapted to support the bottom surface. the xerographic disc inserted in the cassette. Near each side of the raised support surface 56 are internal channels 58 separated from the external channels 60 by ridges 62. The ridges 62 and the front portion 56 have sloping cuts 62 'and 56 *. to eliminate the possibility of jamming of the disc when inserting it into the card. Along the outer edge of each inner channel 60 is a support rail 64 of L or U section. Notches 06 in the front wall 50, bevels 56 'and 62 *, and a sloped portion 68 at the front of the supporting surface 56, close to the internal channels 58, serve to properly align the xerographic plate when inserting it into the cassette 40 by the help of the plate-drive elements (not shown). The ridges 62 engage the flat portions of the upper inner side surfaces of the rails to hold the xerographic plate in conjunction with surface 56. disc in its correct position in the cassette when the cassette cover is above its base, that is, when the cassette is in the orientation shown in Figures 1-3. The supporting rails 64 do not extend completely to the rear and front walls of the base 42, which allows them to co-operate with the sliding elements of the plate, ensuring proper sliding of the plate. In the walls 50, 52 and 54 of the base 42 a groove 72 is provided to cooperate a hollow 88 on the lid 44. The groove 72 and the tab 40 45 50 55 6084819 6 88 provide a light-tight environment when properly closed and sealed, preventing the xerographic plate contained in the cassette from being exposed to radiation by the surrounding electromagnetic radiation. Howek 72 is delimited by the inner wall portions so that the tongue 88 seals this groove to provide the desired light-tightness. The cassette is in the position shown in Figs. it is automatically inserted into that cassette. When illuminated, it is necessary to overturn the cassette so that the base 42 is on top of the cassette to insert the cassette into the developing device. caused by (automatic disc advance mechanism. When the cassette is inverted, the tops of the side rails are seated on the horizontal portions of the support rail 64 spaced from the bottom wall 48 and are supported by it. The components automatically advance. the plates thus cooperate with the cutouts in the side rails to remove the plate from the cassette and transfer it to the developing system. Top cover 44 has a front wall 82, a top wall 83, side walls 84 and a rear wall 86. Walls 82, 84 and 86 have tongue 88 adapted to mate with groove 72 in base 42 as described above. the outer surfaces of the lid and base walls lie in the same planes when the cassette is closed, the tab 88 recessed somewhat from the walls 82, 84 and 36 to the inside of the lid. The width of the groove 72 near the rear wall 54 of the cover 42 and possibly the thickness of that part of the projection which is located close to the rear wall 86 of the cover 44 are chosen so that it allows the cassette, and in fact its cover, to be opened around the hinges 46 Ridges 90 extend from the front wall 82 to the rear wall 86 adapted to abut the upper portion of the side rails on the photocopying plate and adjoined thereto by a portion of the upper surface of the conductive substrate. There is an interference fit that helps to hold the xerographic plate securely in the desired position inside the cassette, especially when the plate-holding, closed cassette is on the face of the automated xerographic machine. Front wall 82 of the cover 44 and its section The hollow 88 has two cutouts opposite the latches 94 disposed in the front wall 80 of the supporting surface 56. Each latch, as shown in the tear-out, has a chamber 96 which houses the latching mechanisms. Attached to the rear wall 98 of chamber 96 is a pin 100 on which a spring 102 rests. The spring 102 normally pushes the movable latch member 104 towards the front wall 80 of the supporting surface 56. In their fully extended position, fingers i06 on the member 104 rest on the member 104. an interior groove 107 in the front wall 82 (Fig. 3). When the fingers 106 are fully extended, their engagement with internal grooves 197 keeps the lid closed and prevents the cassette from opening. When the fingers of the cassette opening system are inserted through the cutout 92, they push the movable latch members 104 away from their forward position and allow the cover 44 to pivot to the open position so that the xerographic plate can be inserted into or removed from the cassette. 52 of the bases 42 and side walls 84 of the cover 44 are cut to form channels 108 when the cassette is closed. The channels 108 are adapted to cooperate with the cassette opening system so that the cassette can be properly aligned with them and opened to load and / or remove a xerographic plate therefrom. Such mechanisms and the way in which they cooperate with the cassette inserted therein are described in more detail in said related application. As shown in Fig. which cover 44 can be rotated around a pin 116. This spacing can be selected to achieve the desired opening angle. The flat bottom 110 of each guide rail 64 is interrupted at a central portion where a protrusion 112 is provided, which has rectangular notches 114 extending into it. its lower part through the lower wall 48. When the cassette is inserted into the automated xerographic device, the mating edges of the cassette opening system slide in the channels 108. Further insertion of the cassette causes the cover to come into contact with the means that open the latches, 40 so that further sliding causes the lid to open. At or near the end of the lead-in movement, the outer elements cooperate with the cutouts 114 to place the cassette in a position suitable for inserting or removing a disc. Figures 4 and 5 show an interior portion of an additional cover 120 for use with the base 42 of Figures 1-3. Inward from the downwardly projecting spines 90, but at a slight distance therefrom. there are channel elements 122. Up to 50 inside of the front wall 82 and the rear wall 86 and also at a short distance therefrom, there are further channel delimiting elements 124. The elements 122 and ridges 90 and elements 124 and walls 82 and 86 form a protruding channel between them. 126. This channel allows the placement of a diaphragm 127, such as a cloth or plastic strip, over the lower surfaces of elements 122 and 124 to prevent ion loss during xerographic imaging. The diaphragm extends over the lower surfaces of the elements 122 and 124 and is attached thereto by pressing the tab 129 for pressing the diaphragm 127 thereon into the spline channel 126, 65 in the elements 122, at various points in their lengths. cutouts 128 are provided. From the leakage 128 to the channels 130, located on the opposite side of the ridge 90 from the elements 122, holes 132 are drilled to allow air to escape from the air chamber bounded by the inner portion 134 of the top wall of the cover 120, the elements 122 and 124, and through the diaphragm 127 attached to them. Since the xerographic process described here provides for the manual handling of the plate that maintains the electrostatic image after exposure to it but before developing an image, it should be taken into account that the cover 44 cassette pressure will be applied. Such pressure may be exerted by the parts of the patient's body under examination, or by the technician during the manual transfer of the cassette to and from the illumination station. Such pressure would cause the stretched diaphragm to expel, which could contact and disturb the latent electrostatic image. This blowout can be prevented by allowing a closed air gap to escape over the diaphragm from the air chamber when pressure is applied to the cover. This is achieved by making openings 132 through which air can escape. Underneath the inner parts of the elements 122 a cutout 136 may be provided into which a filter 138 adapted to modify the imaging radiation incident may be inserted. onto a charged xerographic plate. When the filter is inserted, it should not cover the entrance of the opening 132 so as to allow air to expel when pressure is applied to the top wall of the cover 44. Multiple components 140 may be provided to fix the positions in which the spines 90 are to be attached to the cassette lid. The cassette is handled as follows. it is automatically released from its three elements. During this operation, the cassette springs slightly backwards and the cassette lid is then automatically lowered into the closed and latched position. Since the inserted xerographic plate simply rests on the parts of the base 42 touching thereto prior to release of the cassette, it has been found that due to inertia, the plate bounces a length less than the cassette. This causes the edge of the disc to be positioned in the opening between the cassette cover and its base, preventing the cassette from closing and latching. This defect has been eliminated by placing a material with a sufficiently high coefficient of friction, such as sponge rubber, in all channels 58. Perfect contact of the bottom of the disc The xerographic plate with a slip-inhibiting material keeps the xerographic plate in the inserted position when the cassette is automatically ejected. This plate does not inhibit the movement of the cover, so that the cover can be properly seated and locked in the base. The cassette with the xerographic plate inside it is properly closed and can be manually carried outside the automated xerographic machine. the cassettes may be made of organic resinous materials such as polycarbonate or phenylic oxide. Generally, the materials for the construction of the cassette should be compressible into thin sections providing a strong abrasion and impact resistant, rigid structure, protecting the photoconductive layer on the xerographic plate inserted into the flat cassette. Organic living material should be opaque, possibly it should have the ability to absorb a coloring material, impervious to electromagnetic radiation other than X-rays. homogeneous so that it does not represent areas of differential absorption when irradiated with radiation. Moreover, the material must have a limited absorption so that the radiation is not absorbed too much in the cover. Finally, since the material is to be used in medical diagnosis, it should be suitably chemically inactive, withstanding chemical sterilization, for example with isopropyl alcohol. which the plate is aligned with the vertical track of the plate in the plate feeding mechanism. 84859 46- ^ «4 68 1W 106 72 80 Fig. 184859 1 Fig. 2 DN-7 - Order no. 2537/76 Price PLN 10 PL PL PL
