Przedmiotem wynalazku jest swiatlowód do podzielni przyrzadów pomiarowych zwlaszcza elektrycznych mierników wskazówkowych. Znane sa liczne rozwiazania konstrukcyjne swiatlowodów przeznaczonych do doprowadzenia i skierowania swiatla na podzielnic miernika. Jednym z najczesciej stosowanych jest swiatlowód o przekroju trójkatnym, zlozony z dwóch segmentów usytuowanych w poblizu krawedzi podzielni i zwiazany trwale z obudowa miernika. PLThe invention concerns an optical fiber for the scale of measuring instruments, particularly electric pointer meters. Numerous optical fiber designs are known for delivering and directing light to the meter's scale. One of the most commonly used is a triangular cross-section optical fiber, composed of two segments located near the edge of the scale and permanently bonded to the meter housing. Also known are single- or multi-segment optical fibers mounted on the edge of the scale or near it using metal holders or flexible holders. A disadvantage of these solutions is the potential for the optical fiber to shift in position due to mechanical shocks and vibrations, resulting from its loose attachment using holders or flexible holders. Illumination using one or more separate optical fiber elements significantly reduces the uniformity of the dial's illumination, and the smooth surface of the flat portion of the optical fiber, which receives light rays from a bulb mounted in the instrument housing, creates the possibility of local glare in certain areas of the lateral surface of the optical fiber, close to the edge of the dial. This phenomenon is particularly undesirable in meters used in motor vehicles. The aim of the invention is to develop an optical fiber that overcomes these disadvantages. This goal was achieved by constructing an optical fiber that forms a closed circuit in the shape of a square, rectangle, or circle, permanently connected to the dial by means of projections passing through holes in the dial. The connection is durable by heating the projections in the optical fiber and then forming them into a rivet shape. Mechanically matting the rear surface of the optical fiber allows for the dispersion of incident light, thus eliminating glare. The invention is shown in an example embodiment in the drawings, where Fig. 1 shows the interior of a meter with an optical fiber, and Fig. 2 shows a cross-section of a fragment of the optical fiber and its mounting method. The optical fiber 1, constituting a closed circuit in the shape of a square, rectangle, or circle, adheres with the flat part of the surface 2 onto which the light from the bulb falls to the periphery of the scale 3, and its protrusions 4, preferably in the shape of pillars, engage the openings 5 of the scale. The optical fiber 1 is attached by heating the projections 4 protruding above the surface of the scale and forming them in the shape of a rivet head 6. The light beam from the bulb 7 located in the rear part of the meter housing falls partly directly and partly after reflection from the external walls 8 of the device housing onto the mechanically matted surface 9 of the optical fiber 1. The optical fiber refracts the light rays, directing them onto the scale 3, thus enabling its uniform illumination. The light emitted by the bulb and reflected from the internal walls 8 of the housing, falling on the optical fiber, is dispersed by the matt surface 9, thus eliminating the phenomenon of excessive illumination of a fragment of the side part of the optical fiber, seen in different parts of it depending on the position of the observer.
