Description

Wyjscia zespolów 1-6 sa polaczone poprzez zespoly 8—12 pomiarowo-prze- twarzajace dane, z komputerem 13 sterujacym zespolem sterowania 7. PLThe invention is a system for controlling laser beam parameters based on a mathematical model. Previously known laser power supply and control systems only allow for the control of a single laser radiation parameter: pulse energy in pulsed laser operation or laser radiation power in continuous laser operation. These systems are open systems without feedback and do not allow for independent control of laser pulse energy and pulse duration, nor do they enable control of laser operation based on a mathematical model. The aim of the invention is to eliminate these drawbacks by developing a system that allows for independent control of basic laser beam parameters based on a mathematical model. This aim was achieved by designing a control system according to the invention, which allows for independent control of laser pulse energy and duration based on a mathematical model. The essence of the system according to the invention is that it consists of successively installed units, a controlled power supply, a laser excitation, a lasing medium, a resonator quality control, focusing the laser beam and connected to a surface absorbing laser radiation, connected to a control unit which controls these units and actuators, wherein the outputs of all units are connected via measuring and data processing units to a computer controlling the control unit in a closed feedback system. The system according to the invention, due to the fact that it contains a controlled power supply, a resonator quality factor adjustment unit, a laser beam focusing unit and an unit connected with the laser radiation absorbing surface, allows for conscious, pre-set shaping of the space-time parameters of the laser beam and automatic control of the output parameters of all the system units, and enables automatic control of the laser action process by means of a computer based on a mathematical model. The subject of the invention is shown in an example embodiment in the attached drawing, which shows a block diagram of the system. The system consists of successively installed units of a controlled power supply 1, a laser excitation 2, a laser medium 3, a resonator 4 for regulating the quality of the laser beam 5 and a laser radiation absorbing surface 6, connected to a control unit 7, which controls units 1-6 and actuators a—n. The outputs of units 1-6 are connected via measuring and data processing units 8-12 to a computer 13 controlling the control unit 7. The control of the laser radiation beam parameters by means of the system according to the invention is carried out as follows. The electrical energy supplied to the controlled power supply 1, depending on the information received from the control unit 7, is supplied to the laser excitation unit 2, where the energy is excited, which causes the laser action in the unit 3. The laser radiation beam leaving the unit 3 is regulated in time in the resonator quality control unit 4, is spatially shaped in the laser beam focusing unit 5 and supplied to the unit connected with the laser radiation absorbing surface 6. At the outputs of the units 1-6, the measuring and data processing units 8-12 are installed, which send the information to the computer 13. The computer, after comparing the external conditions of the mathematical model with the information supplied from the units 8-12, sends the appropriate information to the unit control unit 7, which separately controls the operation of individual units 1-6 and can also cause the operation of individual actuators a-n that perform other purposes than the generation of laser radiation.
