Description

Podusz¬ ki wypelnione srodkiem wedlug wynalazku sa la¬ two przenosne, dzieki czemu moga stanowic sklad¬ ki do materialów, obudowania siedzen i poreczy foteli leczniczych, wózków, specjalnych wyciagów, lózek ruchomych i innych.Przyklad I. Do zbiornika zaopatrzonego w mieszadlo, plaszcz grzejny i dolny zawór spusto¬ wy wlewa sie 5 kg ftalanu dwu-(2-etylo)-heksylo- wego i po uruchomieniu mieszadla wsypuje sie 0,6 kg polichlorku winylu o liczbie K=64 oraz 0,1 kg krzemionki koloidalnej.W czasie ciaglego mieszania zawartosc zbiornika ogrzewa sie do temperatury 140°C, po czym przez dolny zawór spustowy wylewa sie ja do formy wy- konanej z blach, iz której po calkowitym ostygnie¬ ciu wyjmuje sie gotowe wypelnienie poduszki prze¬ ciwodlezynowej.Przyklad II. PLThe subject of the invention is an agent filling anti-bedsore cushions. Anti-bedsore cushions prevent the formation of local pressure ulcers in bedridden patients only if their filling is characterized by a complex of physical and mechanical properties similar to those of human fat tissue. In a patient who is unable to change the position of the body on his own, for example with a broken spine or paralysis of the spinal cord, in the absence of special protection within 3-4 hours, in places of prolonged pressure, pressure sores caused by ischemia develop, maceration of the skin and gradual tissue necrosis. Pressure ulcers, which are dangerous complications of treatment, extend the period of immobilization of patients. In the production of special anti-decubitus pillows and pads, the physical law of the body floating on the surface of the liquid was used. The filling agent in such pillows was a silicone copolymer with a gel consistency (known from US patents) No. 3020260 and 3308491). Known from Great Britain Patent No. 1,325,523, gels containing polyvinyl chloride, regardless of its quality, do not have the required durability as a filling material for anti-bedsore cushions. They are characterized by excessive brittleness and, even after short-term use, lose cohesion, and thus same functionality. Only modified systems of gels show the appropriate properties. Modified gel systems contain, apart from polyvinyl chloride, macromolecular substances of similar chemical and physico-chemical nature - it is the so-called internal modification. Modified gel systems also contain low-molecular substances, most often solid, granular substances with a developed external surface - which is an external modification. The agent filling the anti-bedsore cushion according to the invention consists of a poly-solution. of vinyl chloride in a softener, the amount of polyvinyl chloride being 5-18% by weight, with a modifier in an amount of up to 5% by weight and a filler in an amount of less than 2% by weight. An ester of phthalic acid and octyl alcohol, preferably di (2-ethyl) hexyl phthalate, is used as a softener because of its non-toxic nature. The modifier used is an acrylic or methacrylate copolymer, preferably a copolymer of methyl methacrylate, butadiene and styrene. The filler is preferably colloidal silica. Polyvinyl chloride is dissolved at an elevated temperature in a softener, the modifier and filler are added, and the hot solution is poured into molds with shapes corresponding to the required shapes of an anti-bedsore cushion, in which forms, while cooling down, the mixture will dissolve. The consistency of the obtained gel and its physico-mechanical properties can be suitably changed by selecting the amount of the ingredients of the anti-bedsore cushion filler. They are light, soft, practical to use, easy to disinfect and, like water beds, are very helpful in caring for the sick and prevent pressure ulcers. Thanks to their use, the position of bedridden patients can be changed every 8-12 hours without the risk of bedsores. The anti-bedsore cushion filler is easily molded into various sizes, thicknesses and shapes as needed. Pillows filled with the agent according to the invention are portable, thanks to which they can be used as storage compartments for materials, seat casing and handrails for medical chairs, trolleys, special lifts, movable beds and others. Example I. For a tank equipped with a mixer, coat 5 kg of di- (2-ethyl) hexyl phthalate are poured into the heater and bottom discharge valve and, after the stirrer is started, 0.6 kg of polyvinyl chloride K = 64 and 0.1 kg of colloidal silica are poured. The contents of the tank are heated to a temperature of 140 ° C during continuous stirring, and then poured through the bottom discharge valve into a mold made of metal sheets, from which, after complete cooling, the ready filling of the anti-bedsin pillow is removed. Example II. The process is carried out as in Example I, except that the following are used: di- (2-ethyl) hexyl phthalate 10 kg, polyvinyl chloride 0.75 kg, colloidal silica 0.1 kg, methacrylate copolymer 0.2 kg of methyl late, butadiene and styrene. Example III. The process is carried out as in Example 1, but the following are used: di- (2-ethyl) hexyl phthalate 10 kg, polyvinyl chloride with the number K = 64 0.5 kg, copolymer of metal methacrylate, butadiene and styrene ( the so-called MBS) 0.2 kg. Example IV. The process is carried out as in Example 1, except that di (2-ethyl) hexyl phthalate is used 10 kg, polyvinyl chloride K = 64, 0.6 kg, colloidal silica 0.1 kg, a copolymer of methyl methacrylate, butadiene and styrene 0.2 kg.
