Abstract

This invention relates to a process for pulling guide wires 6 and 7 applicable to knitting looms with a pulling position for normal knitting and a more rearward position which makes yarn-blending and split techniques possible, making it possible to change the position of all the guide wires in the loom from normal to blended-yarn or split and vice versa without changing guide wires or any accessories in an endless process and each pass performed by the loom being controlled by a corresponding computer in accordance with the weaving programme. This process is achieved through one, two or three special pegs 1, 2 and 3 provided with suitable movements, functions and configurations to cause or not to cause rearward setting of the guide wire pulling position. <IMAGE>
