Abstract

The invention concerns a modular robot used within the structure of factory flexible cells to supply semi-product and parts.The modular robot has one or more identical translation modules and one or more rotation modules that can be combined to form a "pistol"-type robot, a "portal"-type robot or a "pendulum"-type robot. In the structure of the "pistol"-type robot there is a first vertical module used as a stanchion for a rotation module whose shaft holds a second translation module in a horizontal position. For the "portal"-type robot, a first translation module whose arm connects to a slide is mounted on a portal frame with longitudinal guides. The slide holds a rotation module with a horizontal axis, whose arm connects to a second translation module on a vertical plan. For the "pendulum"-type robot, an U-frame to which a first rotation module is attached is mounted on a vertical rigid column. Through a horizontal axis, the rotation module generates a rotation motion to a support bored on the frame, on which a second rotation module is mounted, whose shaft connects to a translation module that overturns on two perpendicular planes.
