Abstract

The process comprises cultivation of bursitis virus on embryos at the age of 5-11 days, from birds free of specific pathogenic germs. Deactivation with formaldehyde and emulsification are then carried out. The vaccine is administered subcutaneously or by intramuscular means to birds aged 18-20 weeks and produces specific antibodies for 6 months.
