Abstract

The invention refers to a control and adjusting device for the electric brake of a continuous power engine fed through a thyristor variable voltage regulator for driving electric vehicles. Through the suggested solution, the electric vehicles will have a high degree of safety in operation and the passengers will be provided with increased comfort. According to the invention, the device is used at the additional resistance steps control, information from the output of a braking current controller, the same that is used for adjusting the variator braking system. For the determination of the recuperating and rheostatic brake mode, a net voltage regulator is used which adjusts the ignition angle of a cascade-connected thyristor with a rheostatic brake resistance, related to the ignition point of some recuperating braking thyristors, so that the net voltage during mixed braking (rheostatic and recuperating) or pure rheostatic braking does not exceed a maximum value.<IMAGE>
