Inventia se refera la un procedeu de preparare a acetatului de E-7-tetradecen-1-01, conform cîruia se reduce 1-tertbutoxi-7-tetradecina cu sodiu metalic în amoniac lichid iar 1-tert-butoxi-E-tetradecena astfel obtinuta se acetilseaza cu un amestec de clorura de acetil si acid acetic 1: 10.
