Abstract
The process comprises treatment of material containing Pb, Zn, Cu, precious metals, Fe, and SiO2. Crushing to 1 mm or less is followed by contacting with NaCl and bubbling using SO2. Filtration, and electrolysis of the resulting solution or contacting with activated carbon, traps the precious metals. Mixing with pyrite concentrate permits conventional sepn. of the metals.
