Abstract
The process comprises treatment at 12-14% consistence and ca. 100 deg. C for ca. 3 hrs., with 4-8% NaOH. Washing is carried out in two stages with filtration. The filtrate contains 2.5-4% of dissolved matter, consisting of mineral ca.33 and hemicellulose 35-35%. It can be evaporated and burned, or used in liquid form with chlorination in paper works, etc.
