Abstract
In order to reduce degradation of cotton type yarns and to improve coarse or singed fabrics, these are impregnated by a bath contg. 10-20 g/l NaOH, 2-5 g/l Na2CO3, 1/2 g/l Na3PO4, 3-5 g/l K2S2O8, 1% max. emulsifying agent and 1% max of a soaking agent with high dispersing power, at a temp. of 18-20 deg. C, and pts. 8-10. The speed of forward travel being 40-50 m/min.; vaporisation in 1-5 mins. and setting in 2 hours at 98 deg. C.
