Abstract

An organic suspn of colloidal graphite is prepd. by milling graphite powder in a pearl mill in the presence of tanmin and novolak in iso-propanol. A greater, than 80% proportion of the ground particles is below 1 micrometer. Colloidal graphite shows remarkable adhesion to metal and depressed glass surfaces. A deposited film does not chip off a test-piece even if it is heated to 250-350 deg C.
