Abstract
Refractories based on silicon-carbide are prepd. from a mixt. of silicon-carbide, or aluminium-mono-phosphate binder, a soln. of carboxy-methyl-cellulose or dextrin, and of amorphous silica. The mixt. is then homogenised and fired.
